DevOps engineers, business analysts, and project managers to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.\nThe Intermediate Software Developer – AWS Cloud would be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software applications and cloud-based solutions using modern programming technologies and Amazon Web Services (AWS).\nThe role involves developing scalable, secure, reliable, and efficient software solutions, integrating applications with cloud services, supporting system deployments, and contributing to the continuous improvement of software development processes.\nThe position requires practical software development experience, a good understanding of cloud computing, and the ability to independently handle assigned development tasks while collaborating effectively with the wider technical team.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSoftware Application Development:\n\nDevelop backend services, APIs, application components, and integration modules.\nWrite clean, reusable, maintainable, and efficient code using appropriate programming languages and frameworks.\nDesign, develop, implement, and maintain software applications based on approved business and technical requirements.\nTranslate business requirements and technical specifications into functional software solutions.\nParticipate in application architecture and technical design discussions.\nDevelop and maintain existing applications, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.\nIdentify and resolve software defects, performance issues, and technical challenges.\nFollow established software development standards, coding conventions, and best practices.\nContribute to the development of new products, enhancements, and software deployment processes.\nImplement cloud-based application architectures that support scalability, availability, security, and performance.\nWork with AWS services including:\n Amazon S3 for object storage.\nAWS Lambda for serverless computing.\nAWS IAM for identity and access management.\nAmazon VPC for cloud networking.\nAmazon EC2 for cloud computing and application hosting.\nAWS ECS or EKS for containerized applications, where applicable.\nAmazon API Gateway for API management.\nAmazon RDS for managed relational databases.\nAmazon CloudWatch for monitoring and logging.\n\nMonitor cloud application performance and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues.\nApply AWS security best practices in application development and deployment.\nImplement appropriate cloud storage, database, networking, and application integration solutions.\nSupport cloud resource optimization to improve performance and control operational costs.\nDevelop and deploy applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS).\nSupport application deployment, cloud resource configuration, and environment management.\nConfigure and manage application environments across development, testing, staging, and production.\n\nAPI Development and System Integration:\n\nTroubleshoot API connectivity, integration failures, and data processing issues.\nSupport integration testing and end-to-end validation of connected systems.\nDesign, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and application services.\nDevelop integration components for payment gateways, banking platforms, enterprise systems, and other digital services.\nImplement API authentication, authorization, validation, and error handling.\nEnsure APIs are scalable, reliable, and compliant with established technical standards.\nImplement secure data exchange between applications and cloud services.\nIntegrate software applications with internal systems and external third-party platforms.\nSupport API documentation using Swagger, OpenAPI, or equivalent tools.\n\nDatabase Development and Management:\n\nEnsure data integrity, consistency, and appropriate validation.\nWork with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Amazon Aurora.\nOptimize database queries and application data access.\nSupport database migration, backup, recovery, and deployment activities.\nDesign, develop, and maintain application databases.\nSupport database integration with application services.\nWrite efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.\nCollaborate with database administrators to resolve database-related performance issues.\n\nSoftware Testing and Quality Assurance:\n\nDocument technical issues, resolutions, and testing outcomes.\nEnsure software changes meet established coding, security, and quality standards.\nIdentify, investigate, and resolve software defects.\nValidate application functionality against defined requirements.\nSupport regression testing following application changes.\nDevelop unit tests and participate in integration testing.\nCollaborate with software testers during system testing and user acceptance testing.\nParticipate in code reviews and technical quality assessments.\n\nDevOps and CI/CD Support:\n\nSupport automated build, testing, and deployment processes.\nWork with Git-based version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.\nSupport infrastructure configuration using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.\nCollaborate with DevOps engineers to improve application deployment reliability.\nParticipate in release management and production deployment activities.\nWork with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or AWS CodeBuild.\nSupport containerized application development using Docker.\nParticipate in the implementation and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.\n\nApplication Security and Performance:\n\nIdentify and address common application security vulnerabilities.\nSupport vulnerability remediation and security testing activities.\nImplement secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle.\nProtect application data through encryption and secure communication protocols.\nOptimize application performance, resource utilization, and response times.\nApply appropriate authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms.\nEnsure applications follow organizational security and compliance requirements.\nCollaborate with security and infrastructure teams to address identified risks.\n\nDocumentation and Technical Collaboration:\n\nDocument application architecture, configuration, and integration processes.\nEscalate technical risks,
