Our capabilities are entrenched in our strategy that is built to simplify complex situations into milestone successes, professionalism, and ability to deliver workable solutions within time and budget.\n\nUridium believes in and pursues an excellent service culture, and delivers its operations through global best practices using its ISO9001 certification process.\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Software Tester / Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer\n\nLocation: Lekki, Lagos\n\nJob Description\n\nThe successful candidate will contribute to continuous improvement of software quality, testing processes, and overall customer satisfaction.\nThe role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying software defects, validating system functionality, documenting test results, and collaborating with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and user-friendly software solutions.\nThe Software Tester / Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer would be responsible for ensuring that software applications, systems, and digital products meet defined quality standards, functional requirements, performance expectations, and business needs before deployment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSoftware Testing and Quality Assurance:\n\nPerform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.\nEnsure that software releases meet established quality standards before deployment.\nReview business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to understand expected system behaviour.\nValidate software applications against approved requirements and acceptance criteria.\nDevelop and execute test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.\nVerify defect fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure that existing functionality remains unaffected.\nIdentify, document, classify, and track software defects through resolution.\n\nTest Planning and Documentation:\n\nPrepare test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test execution schedules.\nDevelop and maintain reusable test scripts and test data.\nProvide test status reports to project managers, QA leads, and other stakeholders.\nEnsure traceability between business requirements, test cases, and identified defects.\nMaintain comprehensive test documentation, including test results, defect reports, and test evidence.\nMaintain accurate records of testing activities for audit and compliance purposes.\n\nApplication and System Testing:\n\nValidate application interfaces, workflows, data processing, and user interactions.\nParticipate in system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production readiness assessments.\nConduct database testing to verify data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and completeness.\nTest system integrations with third-party applications, payment gateways, APIs, and other platforms.\nConduct testing of web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and enterprise software.\nPerform end-to-end testing across integrated systems and business processes.\n\nAutomation and Technical Testing:\n\nDevelop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate testing tools.\nSupport automated regression testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.\nConduct API testing using tools such as Postman or equivalent.\nPerform basic performance, load, and stress testing where required.\nCollaborate with developers to improve testability, application reliability, and defect prevention.\nIdentify suitable test cases for automation.\n\nDefect Management and Resolution:\n\nConduct root cause analysis of recurring defects and recommend preventive measures.\nWork with developers and technical teams to investigate and resolve software issues.\nMonitor defect resolution progress and maintain an updated defect register.\nEscalate critical defects that may affect system stability, security, or business operations.\nRecord software defects with clear descriptions, reproduction steps, expected results, and actual results.\nAssign appropriate severity and priority to identified defects.\n\nRequirements\n\nCandidates should possess a B.Sc.
