As member of the team, you will gain experience in many aspects of systems engineering, including design, development, manufacturing and testing of solid rocket motors. This internship will have a strong focus on requirement development, verification planning, risk analysis, and process building. \n In this role, you will engage in both collaborative projects and independent tasks, contributing to our dynamic work environment. You will have the opportunity to work closely with team members across different disciplines, allowing you to gain diverse perspectives and learn from experienced professionals. We value initiative and responsibility; you will have the chance to influence technical decisions and make a real impact. \nKey Responsibilities \nInterpret customer needs and evaluate team capability to create detailed and actionable requirements. \nPlan validation and build traceability back to requirements. \nContribute to reliability assessment, failure mode analysis, and risk mitigation efforts. \nDefine and model data flow between subsystems and operational activities. \nDevelop and improve system engineering processes and tools. \nProvide flexible support for team projects as need emerges. \nRequired Qualifications \nPursing a background in systems engineering, mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering. \nFamiliarity with systems engineering principles - design reviews, system requirements, verification and validation, and failure and risk assessments. \nStrong communication skills with ability to convey technical information in team settings. \nConfidence in developing processes and ability to work effectively in situations where procedures may not be established. \nDemonstrated commitment to valuing diversity in all its forms as well as contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment \nDemonstrates initiative and adopts a diligent approach to learning. \nPreferred Qualifications \nExperience with solid rocket motor systems. \nProficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). \nProficiency in requirements management tools such as DOORS, or Jama. \nColorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $30.00/hour, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
