As an intern on a small, fast-moving team, you will be challenged with supporting the dynamic environment of Test Engineering. You will receive hands-on experience while helping solve difficult engineering problems. We thrive on giving ownership and authority, so you can expect to make decisions and make a difference! \nThis Internship will be in the Test Operations Organization. \nThis position will be full-time. \nResponsibilities: \nPerform rocket engine testing from the control room (console) and from the field \nPerform test stand and engine checkouts to verify proper functionality \nOwnership of several projects to design and fabricate fluid systems to support sub-component and/or engine level test objectives \nOperate and modify stand systems such as fluid systems, electrical systems, and supporting structures \nDevelop methods to increase test cadence, test fidelity, and test stand capability without compromising operational safety \nRequired Qualifications: \nBackground in mechanical, electrical, aerospace or similar engineering field. \nMust be an academic Junior and above by May 2027 (experience with Fluids, Mechanics of Materials, and other advanced classes) \nExcellent with first principle analysis with mechanical and/or fluid-based scenarios \nHands-on build and/or test experience (design > build > test lifecycle of a project) \nDemonstrated teamwork and ability to communicate effectively in a group setting \nDrive to continuously improve technical and team skills \nDesired Qualifications \n2+ years of experience with testing high pressure gas systems, cryogenic systems, fuel systems, and propulsion systems \nWorking knowledge of liquid oxygen and kerosene rocket engines \nExperience with LabVIEW and National Instruments Hardware \nExperience with CAD software \nColorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $30.00/hour, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
