EDGE goes beyond traditional academic accommodations, providing individualized coaching, intentional connection, and structured support while students participate fully in academics, campus life, and the residential college experience. The Coordinator works closely with participants to build executive functioning, self-advocacy, academic preparedness, and career readiness skills, delivering coordinated academic, residential, and professional support throughout the program.\nWhile this role's primary focus is the direct coaching, programming, and support of EDGE participants, the Coordinator also serves as a campus resource and thought partner on neurodivergent student support more broadly, collaborating with offices such as Student Conduct and Case Management to help ensure consistent, informed, and affirming responses to neurodivergent students outside the EDGE cohort.\nWho EDGE Serves\nEDGE is designed for students who may benefit from additional support related to:\nADHD and executive functioning challenges\nAutism Spectrum Disorder, with low support needs\nLearning differences, including dyslexia\nOrganization, planning, and time management\nAnxiety that affects executive functioning\nAdjusting to the increased independence and expectations of college\nEDGE is intended for students seeking support beyond the ADA accommodation process as they build greater independence and confidence.\nKey Responsibilities\nDirect Student Support\nServe as the main point of contact for EDGE participants, building strong, supportive relationships\nProvide weekly individual executive function coaching, along with small group coaching focused on time management, organization, and goal setting\nProvide additional professional advising focused on the opportunities and challenges neurodivergent students may encounter in college\nSupport students in developing self-advocacy skills, including communication with faculty and use of accommodations\nMonitor student progress and well-being across the tiered support model, which gradually decreases over four years as students build skills and independence; proactively identify and respond to emerging needs\nMaintain appropriate documentation of student interactions and support plans\nProgram Delivery & Facilitation\nImplement the daily/weekly EDGE program schedule, including coaching sessions, workshops, activities, and skill-building sessions\nSupport delivery of the Summer Experience that helps incoming students prepare for the transition to Ursinus\nCo-facilitate sessions on study strategies, navigating college systems, social integration, and career readiness, including preparation for Ursinus's Experiential Learning Week\nReinforce learning through structured practice, reflection, and feedback\nSupport student engagement and participation across all program components\nResidential & Community Life Support\nFoster a welcoming, neurodiversity-affirming environment that promotes belonging and peer connection through cohort experiences\nSupport the EDGE Resident Advisor (RA) and specialized residential programming, and help coordinate guaranteed single residential housing for first-year EDGE students\nFacilitate community-building activities and social programming; support peer mentors and encourage positive peer-to-peer interaction\nHelp students navigate residential and campus life\nCoordination & Logistics\nAssist with daily program operations, including attendance tracking, materials preparation, and schedule coordination\nSupport communication with students and families before and during the program\nHelp coordinate workshops and services with campus partners (e.g., Disability & Access, Academic Support, Career Development, Residential Life)\nTroubleshoot day-to-day challenges and ensure smooth program execution\nCollaboration & Referral\nWork closely with campus partners to ensure coordinated academic, residential, and professional support\nRefer students to appropriate campus resources as needed (e.g., counseling, academic support, Disability and Access)\nParticipate in staff meetings, debriefs, and training sessions\nBroader Neurodivergent Student Support (Secondary Priority)\nServe as a resource and thought partner to colleagues in Student Conduct and Case Management regarding neurodivergent student needs, communication strategies, and support planning\nParticipate, as capacity allows, in check-ins or consultations with neurodivergent students outside the EDGE program who are referred by CARE team or other campus partners\nHelp build shared language and strategies across departments for supporting neurodivergent students campus-wide, drawing on EDGE program expertise\nBalance these consultative responsibilities with the primary obligation to EDGE participants, prioritizing EDGE program delivery and coaching commitments\nQualifications\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field\n1-3 years of experience working directly with students, preferably neurodivergent students or students with disabilities\nDemonstrated understanding of executive functioning challenges and the transition to college\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with students\nAbility to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, student-centered environment\nPreferred:\nExperience in summer bridge, transition, or first-year programs\nFamiliarity with neurodiversity-affirming practices and Universal Design for Learning (UDL)\nExperience in clinical, social work or case management\nExperience in cross-departmental consultation, such as partnering with student conduct, case management, or behavioral intervention teams\nExperience
