Incumbent oversees completion of implementation and sustainment processes for new/upgraded/modified systems integration into the Command, Control, & Comms.\n\n**Salary ranges include local market supplements.**\n\nDuties\n\n Critical Manages the acquisition, development, and implementation of new or modified information systems, subsystems, or equipment items to meet cost, schedule, performance, and supportability criteria.\n\n Configuration Management (CM) Serves as the Configuration manager (CM) focal point for the 27th IS.\n\n Develops and maintains required IT assets to support the needs of the user. \n\n Maintains liaison with manufacturers, professional organizations, and counterparts at other installations and services regarding available products and state-of-the-art technologies and advancements.\n\nRequirements\nConditions of employment\n\n U.S. Citizenship Required.\n\n All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.\n\n If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. The GG-12 duties for the \"Professional\" work category are at the \"Full Performance\" work level and are equivalent to those at the GG-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.\n\nIn order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions for the GG-2210, Information Technology (IT) Management Series (Alternative A).\n\nExperience: Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.\n\nFor all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Examples of creditable experience include: Expert knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methods of enterprise architecture, as well as a broad range of technologies including secure operating systems, network protocols, data architectures, and software development practices. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:\n\n Knowledge of IT systems analysis and applications software concepts, functions, techniques, and capabilities sufficient to evaluate new and emerging IT security methods and principles, the feasibility of proposed new systems and applications software projects ensure successful integration with existing and anticipated infrastructure.\n\n Knowledge of IT system application software and systems development life cycles, including\n\n systems documentation, system requirements and techniques, design development, configuration management, cost benefit analysis, systems analysis, unprecedented design methodologies, data administration, systems integration, and\n\n testing.\n\n Knowledge of IT management information systems requirements and application software development techniques required in carrying out project assignments of considerable difficulty and with little specificity regarding approach to be followed.\n\n Ability to gather facts and use analytical and evaluative methods to assess requirements; apply CASE tools to design and development processes; deviate from traditional methods; and solve a variety of complex or intricate computer software problems.\n\n Ability to maintain an up-to-date awareness of technological advances and predict how management can meet future requirements.\n\nConditions of Employment Continued:\n\n Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOPSECRET (TS)security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
