In this role, you’ll support manufacturing and operations by preparing, assembling, polishing, inspecting, and measuring molded ferrules to ensure they meet performance and quality standards. You’ll work hands-on with fiber optic components and precision tools, helping to identify defects, analyze data, and collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement.\nResponsibilities\nPrepare fiber optic connectors, ferrules, and assemblies for inspection and testing.\nPerform ferrule length and end-face geometry measurements on connectors.\nConduct initial optical performance testing and communicate findings with the Production Support Technician.\nAccurately record and document test results using Microsoft Excel.\nEnsure all work complies with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.\nRead and follow technical drawings, layouts, and manuals to ensure accurate work and assembly.\nOperate cable cutting machines to cut fiber optic ribbons and cables to specified lengths.\nPerform precise measurements using micrometers, interferometers, and inspection scopes.\nMaintain laboratory tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean, safe, and organized condition.\nMust Haves\nHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in a technical field preferred.\nExperience in measurement, quality control, or manufacturing environments.\nBackground in fiber optics or electronics manufacturing preferred.\nStrong verbal communication and math skills to interpret instructions and verify part counts.\nExcellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.\nManual dexterity and visual acuity required for precision work.\nAbility to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive base salary with performance-based bonus potential.\n4 weeks of PTO to relax and recharge.\nHealth, dental, and vision plans to support you and your family.\n401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match and planning resources.\nA collaborative, team-based culture that fuels innovation.\nPaid holidays and employee recognition programs to celebrate your achievements.\nCommunity engagement and STEM outreach opportunities to give back locally.\nUS Conec will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
