This role is responsible for balancing customer demand, inventory, supplier performance, and production requirements while collaborating closely with Production, Engineering, Customer Service, Logistics, Quality, and suppliers to drive operational excellence across the supply chain.\nResponsibilities\nPurchase component parts, raw materials, packaging materials, and outside processing services to support manufacturing operations and customer demand.\nCreate, release, and maintain purchase orders within JD Edwards (JDE) while ensuring accurate supplier, pricing, lead time, and planning data.\nDevelop supply and purchasing strategies that align production schedules, inventory objectives, and customer delivery requirements.\nMonitor and manage supplier performance related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, and lead-time adherence.\nNegotiate supplier pricing, delivery schedules, lead times, and order quantities to optimize cost and service performance.\nBuild strong supplier partnerships and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost, and delivery.\nProactively identify and resolve supplier capacity constraints, shortages, and delivery risks through effective communication and recovery planning.\nSupport new product introductions, engineering changes, supplier transitions, and continuous improvement projects in partnership with cross-functional teams.\nCoordinate inbound material shipments and support customs clearance activities, including Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) compliance when required.\nUtilize JD Edwards (JDE) and MRP tools to plan finished goods and material requirements based on customer demand, forecasts, and inventory strategies.\nReview and execute MRP recommendations to ensure timely material replenishment and uninterrupted production.\nDevelop and maintain material and supply plans that support customer ship dates and service level objectives.\nBalance customer demand, supplier lead times, manufacturing capacity, and inventory levels to optimize material flow.\nMonitor production schedules and adjust supply plans to accommodate changing priorities and customer requirements.\nCoordinate closely with Production Planning to ensure alignment between manufacturing schedules and customer demand.\nIdentify potential material shortages, supply risks, and capacity constraints before they impact production or customer deliveries.\nDevelop and implement recovery plans with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to mitigate disruptions.\nMonitor inventory levels across raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods to maintain targeted inventory investments.\nProvide material availability, inventory, and supply planning information to support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain performance, inventory management, and customer satisfaction.\nMust Haves\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, material planning, production planning, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.\nExperience purchasing component parts and managing supplier relationships.\nProficiency with ERP/MRP systems, preferably JD Edwards (JDE) or comparable platforms.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory control, demand planning, and production scheduling.\nDemonstrated ability to analyze demand, inventory, supplier performance, and operational data to support business decisions.\nStrong problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.\nEffective communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business systems used for planning and analysis.\nNice to Haves\nAPICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or related credential).\nExperience supporting Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.\nExperience with supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives.\nKnowledge of international shipping, customs documentation, and HTS classifications.\nExperience supporting new product introductions and engineering change management.\nBackground in continuous improvement methodologies within a manufacturing environment.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary with performance-based bonus potential\n4 weeks of PTO plus paid holidays\nComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage\n401(k) with employer match\nA collaborative culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement\nOpportunities for career growth within a global technology leader\nUS Conec will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
