With fourteen locations, over 40 providers, and a best-in-class team, Center For Sight is proud to be named the #1 practice in the area.\nLocation:\nLicensed Opticians prepare and dispense lenses, spectacles, eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical devices. They are also certified to accurately duplicate lenses by power without a prescription. Additionally, a board-certified optician, qualified and operating under board-established rules, may fill, fit, adapt, or dispense any soft contact lens prescription. They may also fill, fit, or dispense any extended wear or hard contact lens prescription to the extent authorized to do so by the prescribing allopathic or osteopathic physician or optometrist.\nEssential Job Functions (other duties as required)\nInterpretation of prescriptions written by ophthalmologists and optometrists as evidenced by the prescriptions.\nCollection of eye measurements (pupillary distance, seg height, base curve, width, and thickness).\nHelp clients select the best lens and treatment options based on their needs.\nMaking proper lens material choices.\nHelping clients select the most appropriate frame for their facial structure and Rx.\nTroubleshoot patient vision and eyewear concerns based on patient needs.\nAble to neutralize and inspect prescription lenses for accuracy with a lensometer.\nAble to identify wanted and unwanted prism as evidenced by the written prescription.\nNavigate insurance websites to help patients understand available benefits and plan-related costs.\nPrepare orders for lab technicians to ensure the proper lenses are delivered.\nAdjusting eyeglasses to ensure a proper fit.\nRepairing broken frames.\nEducating clients on proper eyeglass and contact lens care.\nKeeping track of orders, prescriptions, and inventory.\nAdherence to applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
