If you thrive in a fast-paced automotive environment, enjoy collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers, and have a passion for delivering world-class quality, we want to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs an Advanced Quality Engineer, you will serve as a key quality leader during product launch and pre-production activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, manufacturing plants, and OEM customer representatives to ensure successful APQP execution and launch readiness. These positions will support our Ford and New Domestics business units and sit fully onsite at our offices in Auburn Hills, MI.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and execute Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new product launches and pre-production programs.\nDrive quality deliverables throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring compliance with customer and internal requirements.\nManage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) during launch and pre-production phases.\nCoordinate and submit complete PPAP packages, including engineering changes and customer approvals.\nEnsure all required documentation is submitted accurately and on time through customer portals and tracking systems.\nParticipate in the creation and review of:Process Flow Diagrams\nPFMEAs\nControl Plans\nSpecial and Critical Characteristics\n\nReview customer drawings, specifications, standards, and supplier quality requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.\nDevelop Measurement System Analysis (MSA) plans, including Gauge R&R studies and capability analysis.\nEnsure PSW and other customer-required approvals are obtained prior to production launch.\nManage temporary approvals and interim customer authorizations through final approval.\nSubmit and maintain IMDS requirements for assigned programs.\nSupport customer builds, launch activities, audits, process reviews, and supplier visits.\nLead problem-solving efforts related to launch quality concerns and communicate timely updates to customers.\nServe as a subject matter expert on supplier quality requirements and APQP processes.\nCoach and mentor teammates on quality systems, processes, and customer expectations.\nQualifications\n2-3+ years of quality experience within the automotive industry.\nExperience with:APQP\nPPAP\nPFMEA\nControl Plans\nMSA\nCapability Studies\nGauge R&R\n\nStrong understanding of automotive launch processes and customer-specific requirements.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer standards.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills.\nStrong problem-solving and project management capabilities.\nAbility to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.\nPreferred Experience\nAutomotive experience supporting and working directly with OEMs Engineering, Supplier Quality, or Customer Representative teams.\nKnowledge of IATF 16949 quality system requirements.\nExperience supporting manufacturing launches and supplier development activities.\nWhy Join US Farathane?\nAt US Farathane, you'll have the opportunity to work on innovative automotive programs while collaborating with talented teams across engineering, operations, and quality.
