Overtime may be required.\nBenefits Day One\nFrom affordable health care to retirement savings, your benefits begin immediately, not weeks later!\nLearn more about our benefits: https://www.usfoods.com/careers/benefits.html\nShuttle Driver - Position Overview\nAs a Shuttle Driver at US Foods®, you'll play an important role in keeping our distribution operations running safely and efficiently.\nYou'll operate tractor-trailers transporting various products, including meats, produce, frozen foods, and dry goods, to and from remote dispatch sites.\nYour commitment to safety, reliability, and timely transportation helps ensure our operations run smoothly and our customers receive the service they expect.\nKey Responsibilities\nSafe Transportation: Safely operate tractor-trailers between distribution centers and remote dispatch sites.\nProduct Transportation: Transport various foodservice products, including refrigerated, frozen, and dry goods.\nEquipment Inspection: Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain safety and compliance.\nOperational Support: May be called upon to perform Backhaul or Delivery Driver duties as needed.\nSafety Compliance: Follow company safety procedures and applicable DOT regulations.\nAdaptability: Perform other duties as assigned by management.\nPhysical Requirements\nComfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions required.\nAbility to safely perform the physical duties associated with operating commercial tractor-trailers.\nQualifications\nRegister with the FMCSA Clearinghouse.*\nMust be at least 21 years of age.\nMust have a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.\nMinimum of 6 months of commercial driving experience required.\nDoubles endorsement required; minimum of 6 months of driving experience with doubles endorsement preferred.\nMust be comfortable working overnight.\nAbility to operate a manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.\nMust be able to read and communicate in the English language, including holding a conversation, understanding highway traffic signs and signals, responding to official inquiries, and entering information on reports and records.\nAbout US FOODS®\nUS Foods® is one of the largest food distributors, with a culture and history of promoting from within, excellent training programs, and a continuous improvement focus.\nOur drivers are an essential part of our success, supporting reliable transportation and building strong relationships throughout our operations.\nAt US Foods®, we're committed to Total Rewards that respect and reward our employees for their dedication and hard work.\nWe help YOU make it!\n\nFMCSA Clearinghouse Requirement\n*Registering with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement of the Department of Transportation.
