You'll safely navigate the highway and city streets, back into tight docks, and unload with precision. The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.\nKey Responsibilities\nSafe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.\nUnloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas - 100% touch freight.\nDelivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.\nCustomer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.\nEquipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.\nAccount Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.\nAdaptability: All other duties assigned by management.\nPhysical Requirements\nLift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.\nDriving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.\nComfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.\nContinuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.\nQualifications\nRegister to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*\nMust be at least 21 years of age.\nMust have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. \nMinimum 6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR 3-months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required. \nAbility to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations. \nMust be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.\nAbout US FOODS®\nClick here to learn more!\n*Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation.
