The Sr Coordinator, Transportation will work to optimize all transportation and logistics processes to create maximum efficiency.\nSchedule:Sunday - Thursday 6:30 PM - 3:30 AM\nSalary: $25/hour or more based on experience - Paid Weekly\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nDuties may include, but are not limited to, transportation, logistics, and backhaul functions.\nTransportation\nAnswer incoming calls to resolve driver, sales representative, and customer issues; communicate route updates to drivers\n\nUtilize systems (MS Excel, Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, etc.) to create, update, and distribute reports supporting transportation operations\n\nMaintain and track transportation metrics (attendance, DVIRs, backhaul spreadsheets, delivery window dispatch, trailer temp logs, route updates, etc.)\n\nComplete damages and shorts process, including vendor/driver communication and documentation\n\nSupport training and development of junior clerical teammates\n\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nBackhaul and Logistics\nCommunicate key updates to support backhaul and transportation operations (arrival times, scheduling, service updates, delivery issues, etc.)\n\nCoordinate pickup appointments for backhaul orders and vendors\n\nOptimize routing and scheduling to minimize cost while maintaining compliance\n\nComplete all necessary paperwork and ensure accurate communication of logistics information\n\nResearch new backhaul opportunities to improve efficiency\n\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWork is performed in an office environment with occasional exposure to warehouse conditions, including cooler/freezer areas with temperatures as low as -5°F.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience\nMinimum three (3) years of warehouse administrative or clerical experience\n\nPrior logistics, transportation, and/or warehouse experience required\n\nKnowledge / Skills / Abilities\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nExcellent customer service and telephone skills\n\nAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment\n\nStrong math, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail\n\nIntermediate computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)\n\nAbility to independently solve problems of moderate scope\n\nStrong teamwork skills\n\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or GED/equivalent required\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nKnowledge of DOT Hours of Service regulations\n\nFamiliarity with geographic delivery area\n\nSystems Experience Preferred\nOmnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, XATA, Manhattan, PowerDock, Airclic\nPHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS\n(Kept as-is but cleaned formatting for HR/ADA compliance)\nStanding: Occasionally\n\nWalking: Occasionally\n\nSitting: Frequently\n\nLifting / Carrying:\n1-50 lbs: Occasionally\n\n51+ lbs: Not required\n\nOther Activities:\nPush/Pull: Occasionally\n\nClimb/Balance: Occasionally\n\nStoop/Squat/Kneel/Bend: Occasionally\n\nReach Above Shoulder: Frequently\n\nGrasp/Manipulate Objects: Frequently\n\nManual Dexterity (typing, office equipment): Frequently\n\nCompensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.\nThe expected base rate for this role is between $25.00 and $25.00 per hour.\nBenefits:\nBenefits for this role may include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.\nTo review available benefits, please visit:\nhttps://www.usfoods.com/careers/benefits.html\nCompensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state or local minimum wage thresholds).
