achieve and maintain on-time production, product quality standards and low waste.\nWork as part of a packaging team to plan commercial customer packages that will enable on-time production including product quality, accuracy and delivery standards and positive customer relations.\nResponsibilities\nPackaging Department Tasks\nWork with receiving team to confirm inserts have been checked-in, processed and verified.\nVerify product scheduling and zoning.\nCommunicate with advertising departments and external customers as required to resolve preprint, zoning and scheduling issues.\nProficient operation of preprint management systems, POET, Ad Point and other ad ordering systems as required to ensure inserter controls and related reporting.\nAssist with packaging reports and web portal data entry.\nUnderstanding of and compliance with pre-print security policies.\nPrint orders and flags to support press operations.\nAssist packaging operations when needed\nSafety\nAlways work in a safe manner and consistently utilize required safety equipment to promote top-of-mind safety awareness.\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment.\nComplete required annual OSHA safety training programs.\nCommunication\nProvide timely and accurate information to management as required.\nImmediately report preprint, product or equipment issues to supervisors and/or packaging management.\nCommunicate scheduling needs to supervisors and/or packaging management.\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.\nPrevious packaging planning or similar/related experience.\nEnglish language fluency: Speaking, reading and writing.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\nExcellent time management skills working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment\nGood PC Skills including Microsoft Office: E-mail, Excel and Word.\nBasic understating of computer networking & electronics.\nAbility to learn industry specific
