USAA roles may offer remote or hybrid flexibility for active-duty military spouses consistent with applicable policy and business needs.\nThe Opportunity\nAs a dedicated Capital Markets Analyst, you’ll perform moderately complex to complex work assignments that support the strategic management of USAA’s capital and liquidity. This role manages access to external capital markets and leads the efficient execution of capital market transactions across all USAA entities, including capital markets reinsurance, asset securitization, and debt issuance.\nThe position partners with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate capital solutions, support strategic decision-making, and enhance financial flexibility while maintaining a strong risk management framework.\nWe offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position is based in San Antonio, TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.\nWhat you'll do:\nLeads the entire transaction process including transaction structuring, underwriting decisions, asset selection and pricing for securitization, securitization cash flow modeling, approval management, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and due diligence activities.\n\nNegotiates price, terms and conditions of transactions and oversees the preparation of offering document.\n\nSupports the development and evaluation of enterprise capital and funding strategies through analysis of capital markets, industry trends, capital efficiency opportunities, and alternative funding structures.\n\nPrepares and communicates analyses, recommendations, and transaction updates for senior management and other key stakeholders.\n\nMay act as a primary point of contact for a specific capital transaction type or line of business (auto loan securitization, credit card securitization, catastrophe reinsurance, and debt issuance).\n\nResolves issues and navigates obstacles to deliver work product.\n\nEnsure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.\n\nWhat you have:\nBachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.\n\n4 years of finance, treasury, capital management, capital markets experience or CFA and 2 years of finance, treasury, capital management or capital markets experience.\n\nProficient knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques to include relevant job-related technical knowledge.\n\nProficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications.\n\nWhat sets you apart:\nUS military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner.\n\nExperience working in Banking or Insurance industry.\n\nKnowledge of capital management, liquidity management, or regulatory capital frameworks within banking or insurance organizations.\n\nExperience interacting with rating agencies, investment banks, institutional investors, or reinsurance counterparties.\n\nAbility to cultivate executive-level relationships that influence strategic direction, accelerate decision-making, and support enterprise-wide initiatives.\n\nAbility to serve as liaison to build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups by leveraging strong communication, negotiation, and influence skills.\n\nChampion a collaborative culture by connecting cross-functional teams, removing barriers, and fostering long-term partnerships across the enterprise.\n\nAdvanced organizational skills with demonstrated accountability.\n\nCompensation range: The salary range for this position is: $77,120 - $147,390.\nUSAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
