USAA roles may offer remote or hybrid flexibility for active-duty military spouses consistent with applicable policy and business needs.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are seeking a talented Internal Security Investigator Senior for our San Antonio Home Office facility.\nUnder minimal supervision, conducts complex investigations regarding corporate policy violations, workplace violence, fraud, collusion, and other criminal matters within or against USAA. Builds relationships with peer partners and leadership to educate all levels of the enterprise about internal threats and fraud. Participates in the development and implementation of internal fraud or threat issues as an innovative team resource. Reviews laws, regulations and current events for business impact.\nWe offer an onsite work environment that requires an individual to be on the selected campus. This position is based at the following location: San Antonio, TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.\nWhat you'll do:\nApplies advanced knowledge of the business, its products, procedures and processes.\nMaintains knowledge of specific company policies, laws and regulations, and best practices in the investigative field.\nServes as a resource to less experienced team members.\nUtilizes highly sophisticated investigative tools and techniques.\nConducts complex and high priority investigations on external/internal fraud, collusion, corporate policy violations, workplace violence and other criminal matters within or against USAA.\nConducts interviews and/or interrogations, gathers information and analyzes data in support of the investigative process.\nContributes to completion of the work product by organizing investigative results, preserving evidence and presenting the facts to disprove or substantiate the allegation for the necessary employment decisions.\nAs needed assists others regarding case preparation and coordinating a Incident Management Team (IMT) meeting for case briefing/presentation.\nProvides written and/or oral briefings of high profile cases to management and/or members of the Executive Management group.\nParticipates in pre-event planning, security assessments, and coordination with the USAA Executive Protection team, law enforcement, and venue security personnel.\nDevelops and maintains relationships with law enforcement agencies and other institutions to ensure the corporation is informed of potential risks.\nAssists with the development of the CI HouseCall, work place violence policy, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing effective maintenance of the USAA safe workplace program.\nConducts learning sessions (CI HouseCalls) by business need regarding internal investigations, fraud, workplace violence issues, harassment, and corporate policy violations.\nProvides partners with comprehensive case report for the disposition decision of an employee or contract employee and participates in the USAA Dialogue (Dispute Resolution) Program as required.\nPerforms all other tasks as assigned.\nEnsures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.\nExperiences that will support your success:\nBachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.\n6 or more years relevant experience in corporate fraud investigations, risk mitigation, Federal, State, local, or Military Law Enforcement with interviewing skills.\nKnowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002, other applicable laws and regulations, company policies and best practices in the investigative field.\nExcellent communication skills utilizing all available channels, with the ability to collaborate and execute among cross-functional teams, including all levels of the organization.\nAbility to use Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility and willingness to travel 25% of the time.\nWhat sets you apart:\nCertified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP)\nStrong knowledge of SAR requirements and understanding of federal regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.\nExperience conducting risk and threat assessments.\nUS military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner [optional]\nCompensation range: The salary range for this position is: $93,770.00 - $168,790.00.\nCompensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position.
