USAA roles may offer remote or hybrid flexibility for active-duty military spouses consistent with applicable policy and business needs.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are currently seeking a talented Designer for either our San Antonio, TX, corporate headquarters or our Plano, TX, location.\nAs a dedicated Designer, you will contribute to high-performing, cross-organizational teams, applying your knowledge and experience in human-centered design. You will support research, ideation, concepting, prototyping, testing, and delivery for moderately complex Member and Employee experiences in a data-informed, Agile environment. You will demonstrate the value of design by collaborating with team members to develop, refine, and deliver solutions aligned with member needs.\nWe offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio or Plano, TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.\nWhat you'll do:\nIdentifies and documents business problems to help shape a solution for moderately complex cross-organizational projects.\nContributes ideas and embed facilitates with cross-functional stakeholders during human-centered design sessions and group discussions.\nCollaborate with team members to ensure work meets agreed upon business requirements.\nWith guidance, provides support during all parts of their workstream from discovery to implementation of design artifacts and prototypes.\nSupports human-centered research efforts and the synthesis of research findings to determine a direction that aligns with member and employee needs.\nCreates and documents design assets with guidance, leveraging competency in interaction design, visual design and/or content design.\nParticipates in critiques and design reviews to offer and receive relevant and focused feedback.\nDemonstrates a foundational understanding of human-centered and service design principles and methodologies.\nEnsure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.\nWhat you have:\nBachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.\n2 years of relevant on-the-job experience in a Product Design, UX Design, Service Design or Design Research role delivering complex design systems for web and native applications.\nA portfolio that demonstrates experience designing digital experiences for mobile and web-based applications.\nExperience developing facilitation, collaboration and consensus building skills.\nDemonstrated proficiency with standard design and workplace applications.\nincluding industry standard design, prototyping, and collaboration software and Microsoft Office Suite.\nDemonstrated understanding of new technologies and best practices in website navigation, browsers, mobile patterns, information architecture and usability.\nDemonstrated experience designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications (iOS, Android, etc.).\nDeveloping written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, time management skills and strong attention to detail.\nHighly motivated, engaging and able to work effectively within a team environment, always delivering results on time.\nQuick learner with solid organizational and prioritization skills.\nWhat sets you apart:\nProficiency in Figma and prototyping for native, desktop, and web experiences.\nExperience with interaction and visual design for mobile and web applications.\nExperience conducting human-centered research and translating insights into user-centered designs.\nKnowledge of UI design trends, accessibility, and best practices.\nExperience working with Design Systems/Design Language Systems.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills, with experience using tools such as Maze and Zoom.\nUS military experience through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner.\nCompensation range: The salary range for this position is: $69,920.00 - $133,620.00.\nUSAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
