USAA roles may offer remote or hybrid flexibility for active-duty military spouses consistent with applicable policy and business needs.\nThe Opportunity\nAs a dedicated Security Specialist Manager you will be responsible for the overall monitoring the safety and security of employees, contractors, visitors and facilities worldwide. Oversees and makes recommendations on the access control, video management, computer aided dispatch, alarm monitoring, report management, intelligence sources, radio dispatch consoles, and other in-house tools. The Security Operations Center detects, analyzes, and dispatches security officers, monitors incidents, and provides support. Additionally, we notify appropriate strategic partners, and/or external responding agencies regarding any adverse conditions impacting the association or its employees, contractors, and visitors. These incidents may range from simple theft to active assailant. May lead multiple shift operations. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of USAA management and internal partners to assess business or personnel issues related to security, safety, and risk. Provides training, coaching, feedback, and performance management for Security operations teams.\nWe offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 5 days per week. This position will be based in he following location: San Antonio, TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.\nWhat you'll do:\nOversees the association wide security activities from the 24x7x365 Security Operations Center.\nConducts ongoing review of multiple systems and sources to detect potential risks.\nInspects alarms and creates reports dispatches Security Officers or alerts Fire and/or law Enforcement agencies.\nProvides supervision for major incidents.\nGathers information, analyzes data trends, identifies root cause(s), and proactively provides information to leadership and appropriate stakeholders.\nLeverages internal and external partnerships to proactively solve business problems and ensure appropriate elements are communicated in a clear and timely manner.\nOversees personnel to ensure procedural requirements are met.\nResponsible for the leadership, performance management, and development of security team.\nManage formal supervisory duties, including recommendations for personnel actions, performance evaluations, timekeeping, and Personal Time Off (PTO) requests.\nGuides team members in the development and delivery of their work product.\nBuild and manage a team through development, retention, coaching, performance management, and other managerial activities for the assigned functional area.\nOther duties as assigned.\nEnsures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.\nExperiences that will support your success:\nBachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience\n6 or more years of operational experience in a Security Operations Center, Public Safety Answering Point, or Law Enforcement Dispatch Center environment.\n2 years of direct team lead, supervisory or management experience required.\nAdvanced proficiency in operating and managing CCTV systems, access control systems, and alarm monitoring systems. Ability to learn new systems quickly.\nAdvanced level of business acumen in the areas of the business operations, industry practices and emerging trends required.\nDemonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with law enforcement, emergency responders, and senior security stakeholders, including leading coordination during critical incidents.\nWhat sets you apart:\nBachelor's degree in criminal justice, law enforcement administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.\nPSP or CPP or equivalent security certification.\nAdvance experience in enterprise security operations, primarily within a SOC, GSOC, or equivalent environment.\nExperience leading or supporting security operations teams, incident response, escalation decisions, and operational coordination.\nExperience developing or improving procedures, playbooks, metrics, dashboards, or operational reporting.\nDemonstrated ability to lead security incidents and make sound decisions under pressure.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to brief leadership using clear, risk-based language.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nExperience within financial services, fintech, banking, insurance, or another regulated industry.\nStrong writing skills and experience preparing communications to be shared with senior stakeholders.\nExperience with CCure, Genetec or Lenel.\nProficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.\nCompensation range: The salary range for this position is: $85,040.00 -$153,080.00.\nCompensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position.
