USAA roles may offer remote or hybrid flexibility for active-duty military spouses consistent with applicable policy and business needs.\nThe Opportunity\nAs a Mid-Level Identity Product Manager within USAA's Member Protection organization, you will help shape enterprise member identity management: how members are verified, how identity assurance is established and maintained over time, and how identity fraud is detected and prevented across the member lifecycle. This position supports the enterprise identity proofing strategy and identity fraud prevention posture, contributing to the authoritative identity signals that downstream functions to make risk decisions. The candidate will partner closely with authentication, technology, fraud, compliance, architecture, and experience teams to support deliver defensible, risk-tiered identity capabilities that serve members.\nThis role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. However, individuals residing within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site four days per week.\nWhat you'll do:\nSupport the enterprise identity proofing and assurance roadmap, covering new member enrollment, identity re-verification, step-up proofing, and profile recovery, by translating strategy into well-scoped business requirements, balancing signal quality with member friction.\nUtilizes subject matter expertise of fraud risk management requirements, policies, laws, and regulations to influence business strategies and solutions and advise the business on how to strengthen and manage fraud risk requirements on business action plans, projects, or operational requests.\nContributes to the execution of risk assessments with business partners and the lines of business to determine impact and solutions.\nTranslate business objectives, risk requirements, and member needs into clear, actionable identity service requirements for technology, architecture, and design teams, across the identity lifecycle from initial proofing through ongoing assurance maintenance.\nBuilds and supports Digital and Technology product Business Case artifacts and hypotheses, helping communicate the value proposition of proposed products and experiences.\nApplies data-driven problem-solving techniques to understand and report on product and experience performance against KPIs/KRIs.\nUses a variety of tools and resources to uncover areas of opportunity that inform product and experience improvements, and helps track implementation of those improvements.\nPrepares clear, compelling presentations and other communications for a range of audiences, and supports Digital or Technology product definition, concept, and collaboration sessions that coordinate discovery, development, delivery, and validation activities.\nWhat you have:\nBachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.\n4 years of operations experience in a relevant functional area to include financial services, Fraud, AML, compliance, risk, audit, third party risk management or other related operational areas that support fraud risk management initiatives within the business.\nExperience supporting product development for a regulated, enterprise-scale capability, including contributing to roadmap strategy, translating regulatory and business requirements into product and technical decisions, and partnering with architecture and engineering teams to deliver governed, reusable capabilities.\nWorking knowledge of relevant laws, regulatory requirements, and compliance obligations, with familiarity in identity related regulatory frameworks applied to an enterprise identity proofing function.\nSolid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail in identifying identity fraud risks, patterns, and program gaps.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams at various organizational levels.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate and execute among cross-functional teams, including all levels of the organization and with external regulatory agencies.\nWhat sets you apart:\nExperience in Product Management, Business Analyst, or related role, with involvement in authentication or key aspects of identity and access management (IAM)\nWorking knowledge of identity fraud typologies, including synthetic identity fraud, third-party identity theft at the account opening and re-verification layer, and velocity or collusion patterns that exploit enrollment flows.\nFamiliarity with identity proofing vendor ecosystems, including attribute-based verification, document verification, biometric liveness, and synthetic identity/watchlist screening.\nExperience collaborating with engineering, architecture, security, and risk teams to help deliver risk-tiered, friction-right identity capabilities.\nFamiliarity with emerging identity verification technologies and challenge modalities, including passive behavioral signals, device-bound credentials, and document authentication advances.\nCompensation range: The salary range for this position is: $103,450 - $197,730.\nUSAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
