USAA roles may offer remote or hybrid flexibility for active-duty military spouses consistent with applicable policy and business needs.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are seeking a Product Development Manager to support the Property and Casualty (P&C) Auto Product Development area. This is a non-people leading role that will work closely with this team to monitor product performance and data insights.\nThis role supports the development of new products into target strategic markets. Provides support for product line initiatives related to product development, compliance, operational and process improvements, claims management, vendor management, product documentation, fulfillment, and/or system releases.\nThis role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. However, individuals residing within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site four days per week.\nWhat you'll do:\nParticipates in the development of digital first products supporting the needs and risks of USAA Members.\nSupports efforts to develop and launch new innovative product offerings as well as auxiliary/enhanced features/services for existing products.\nAdvises others in the launch of new products and in the evaluation and decision to buy/build or partner.\nGenerates creative product and coverage solutions for member needs to ensure a dynamic product development pipeline exists.\nResponsible for maintaining knowledge of business and underwriting performance for products in scope (e.g.trends, results, etc.).\nAnalyzes internal and external data and member information to support formulation of product strategy and enhance competitive intelligence.\nConducts analysis of key data to support on-going monitoring, maintenance and underwriting of existing 'new in market' products based on product performance, member needs and competitive changes in the market including but not limited to product rules, rates, and forms.\nDevelops and communicates the new product value proposition for product enhancements/features.\nGuides Member Contact teams on how to effectively use sales guides and provides education on new products and services, including new offerings and enhancements to existing features.\nAnalyzes and evaluates new product performance metrics to recommend offering change, if necessary, prior to full launch.\nCoordinates with relevant control partners (to include Leal, Compliance, and Risk Management) to ensure product offerings are designed and implemented in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.\nEnsures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.\nWhat you have:\nBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or Statistics; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.\n6 years relevant experience in Actuarial, Pricing, Underwriting, Marketing, Operations, Financial Services or relevant military experience.\nExperience conducting research, compiling and analyzing data, and identifying trends that have supported product decisions.\nDemonstrated experience in developing, deploying and supporting product and/or integrated suite of products.\nKnowledge and understanding of Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC).\nWhat sets you apart:\nStrong P&C Business Acumen, preferably in Auto (product management, pricing, underwriting, product intelligence etc.).\nDemonstrated experience with data analytics and ability to deliver insights (ideally Snowflake, SQL and Tableau).\nCritical thinking skills to evaluate information, identify data gaps, and ensure the validity of insights.\nExperience with the entire P&C product lifecycle, including pricing, underwriting, claims, or product design.\nExperience translating business requirements to technical and analytical teams.\nExperience supporting product briefings and executive leadership presentations.\nUS military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner.\nCompensation range: The salary range for this position is: $114,080 - $218,030.\nUSAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
