The Senior IT Change Coordinator for Application Delivery provides technical change governance for complex software releases across the enterprise. Working with application engineering, product, quality assurance, DevOps, infrastructure, and business teams, this role assesses deployment risk, coordinates dependencies, validates release readiness, and supports reliable production outcomes. The role combines advanced Change and Release Management expertise with practical knowledge of software delivery, testing, and application deployment practices.\n\nCollaborates and manages IT change processes across all functions within IT and with business stakeholders. Measures and monitors progress to ensure IT changes are implemented on time with minimal impact or disruption to IT production systems. Ensures that all IT changes are recorded, assessed, approved, prioritized, and deployed in a manner that meets business requirements and protects the stability and reliability of production IT systems. Contributes to improvements to the Change and Release processes and technology improvement opportunities and may lead the execution of these initiatives as needed.\nWe offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position will be based in San Antonio; TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.\nWhat you'll do:\nFacilitates complex or large IT change requests meeting with change requestor to review, audit, and ensure change requests meet regulatory standards.\nDrives direction of appropriate rigor level based on the technical complexity and potential impact of change.\nIdentifies quality issues within the department contributing to IT service delivery issues and ensure their resolution/success.\nPartners with internal and external SMEs to improve, synchronize, automate, and integrate process controls to include integration with other ITIL disciplines.\nUnderstands application of process controls and their interaction, and anticipates , mitigates against them and/or ensures resolution.\nAssists in internal and external reviews on the effectiveness of the configuration management operations at USAA.\nServes as escalation point for junior team members on moderately complex issues.\nRecognizes and escalates issues for proactive communication to stakeholders and provide guidance toward resolution.\nProvides consultation around IT change and release management tools, process and artifacts.\nInfluences how the IT Change and Release organization and roles interrelate with the respective customers and other ITIL disciplines.\nMay lead medium to large scale implementations.\nEnsures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.\nWhat You Have:\nBachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.\n6 years of IT change management, release management, application delivery, software engineering coordination, or technical project management experience. Advanced knowledge of ITIL and Change Enablement practices. Demonstrated experience with waterfall and Agile delivery, SDLC, application testing, CI/CD, deployment governance, and cross-functional release coordination.\nAdvanced knowledge of application delivery, SDLC, release coordination, and production deployment practices.• Ability to evaluate application dependencies, testing sufficiency, implementation plans, and recovery strategies.• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional delivery teams through complex releases.• Advanced written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated knowledge of relevant risk and regulatory requirements.\nWhat Sets You Apart:\nITIL 4, SAFe, Scrum, DevOps, or relevant change/release certification.\nExperience with enterprise CI/CD platforms, release orchestration, observability, or deployment automation.\nExperience supporting cloud-native, distributed, mobile, or customer-facing applications.\nExperience with progressive delivery methods such as canary, blue-green, feature flags, or slow-roll deployments.\nCompensation range: The salary range for this position is: $103,450- $197,730.\nUSAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
