As a Lead Technical Project Manager, you will lead multiple project teams to deliver a new LOB Technology solution to serve our member’s financial needs, and play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our new investment services line of business.\nWe offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.\nWhat you'll do:\nLeads, plans, directs and coordinates activities for highly complex work efforts that may include SDLC standards, to accomplish goals and objectives within prescribed timeframes and budgets.\nProvides alternate views and solutions to onboard senior management to accomplish project goals.\nMentors, trains and coaches technical project managers.\nAnticipates and recommends improvements to advance project management methods and practices.\nOversees and ensures development of project plans related to schedule, budget, scope and resources.\nMonitors project execution to deliver incremental value.\nManages and executes multiple technical projects or epics (and supporting work) deliverables to control scope.\nIdentifies and mitigates project or epic (and supporting work) technical risk and operational impact.\nEnsures completion of and adherence projects and project plans to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives Influences sequencing and scheduling of work within project.\nManages interdependencies of work within a project.\nEstablishes overall project cadence for communication with impacted stakeholders, and provides framework for underlying project(s) communication plans.\nEnsures sound technical architecture is incorporated, working with technical architects.\nAdheres to governance rigor and EPMO processes, procedures, controls, standards, tools and templates (as required).\nUnderstands each project's critical path activities and contributes to risk management efforts on the project and consistently seeks creative technical alternatives to project challenges, advises project managers.\nActively applies a variety of product capabilities to the benefit of the project sponsors, and senior managers on all aspects of the project.\nPartners with others to drive adoption and challenge standards.\nEngages in identifying and removing obstacles and impediments to ensure team objectives are met.\nActively identifies and applies best practices and needed process improvements.\nPartners with business to clearly articulate technical requirements and acceptance criteria of project.\nUnderstands each project's critical path activities and proactively manages those to project's benefit.\nManages ambiguity and consistently seeks to drive clarity among project stakeholders, provides support to junior technical project managers.\nLeads subject matter experts to resolve project challenges.\nManages project budgets on the full range of projects.\nEnsures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.\nWhat you have:\nBachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.\n8 years of experience managing or leading projects or serving in a project management type role to include technology management or product-forward role (product manager, engineering manager, program manager).\nExpert knowledge of project management methodology and/or expert knowledge of multiple technical software delivery life cycles.\nDemonstrated experience overseeing and directing one or more business lines, products and processes as it relates to the technical management, delivery and execution of projects.\nExpert knowledge of applicable laws and regulation and ensures application to projects.\nExpert knowledge of project methodologies (Agile and Waterfall) and recommends appropriate methodology for execution.\nExtensive experience on project management and execution experience delivering complex work efforts working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.\nExpert use of tools and techniques that includes SDLC knowledge, technical acumen and software delivery methods.\nAdvanced experience with planning tools, software and processes to guide work effort plans and deliverables.\nAbility to articulate high level context of IT projects and influence stakeholders.\nWhat sets you apart:\nBroker Dealer Platform Experience: Proven experience implementing complex Broker Dealer platforms and navigating the associated technology, integration, and delivery challenges.\nInvestment Services Expertise: Strong understanding of Investment Services, including the business capabilities, technology ecosystem, and operational considerations required to deliver end-to-end solutions.\nMulti-Vendor Leadership: Extensive experience working with and managing multiple strategic vendors, driving alignment, accountability, and execution across complex dependencies.\nLarge Enterprise Leadership: Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in large, complex enterprises, collaborating across business and technology organizations and influencing stakeholders to drive alignment, decisions, and successful outcomes.\nCompensation range: The salary range for this position is: $127,310.00 - $243,340.00.\nUSAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
