USAA roles may offer remote or hybrid flexibility for active-duty military spouses consistent with applicable policy and business needs.\nThe Opportunity\nThe VP, Actuary - Pricing and Product Analytics is a senior actuarial leader with responsibility for pricing of all of USAA's P&C lines of business. Accountable for providing timely and actionable analyses to product line leadership to enable product and pricing decisions in support of P&C goals and strategies. The executive is an influential leader that is responsible for the strategic vision, deployment and ongoing implementation of pricing strategies. Shapes product innovations, data strategies, and technology investments to transform pricing capabilities. A key member of the Actuary & Analytics leadership team responsible for the development and execution of initiatives to advance USAA's capabilities in data analytics.\nThis role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. However, individuals residing within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site 3-4 days per week.\nWhat you'll do:\nProvides executive leadership and guidance in the development, maintenance and application of data analytics and develops insights and recommendations in support of P&C pricing/product objectives and strategies.\nAccountable to the Personal Lines General Manager for development and execution of pricing plans. Develops strong working relationships with key stakeholders including product line leaders, experience owners, product development leaders, senior financial officers, other analytic leaders, and regulators where appropriate.\nBuilds and leads a high performing team of analytical and actuarial employees with a broad range of advanced analytical expertise and high levels of P&C business knowledge.\nDevelops and provides analyses and tools to product management teams to enable data-driven decisions. Partners with product line leadership to develop analytical acumen within product management teams.\nLeads teams that support new product development and innovation. Directs requirements for technology investment and capability modernization.\nDevelops tools and procedures to enable state managers to make pricing decisions informed by timely and responsive analysis.\nLeads competitive intelligence to develop and deliver actionable insights. Provides comparative analysis of competitor pricing and segmentation models, to include modeling programs against competitors to evaluate relative lift.\nEnsures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.\nWhat you have:\nBachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or quantitative field; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.\nFellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designation.\n10 years of progressive related experience developing strategies, managing major initiatives and delivering results within a complex matrix environment.\n8 years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams.\nExperience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing work to achieve strategic goals.\nExecutive-level business acumen in the areas of business operations, industry practices, regulatory relations, and emerging trends.\nWhat sets you apart:\nFCAS credential with deep personal lines pricing expertise, coupled with the ability to translate complex actuarial insights into business decisions that drive profitable growth, effective loss trend management, and disciplined rate execution.\nProven leader of large, multi-functional actuarial organizations, with experience overseeing state pricing, rate management, and actuarial operations teams while aligning talent, resources, and priorities to enterprise objectives.\nTrack record of modernizing pricing environments through automation, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives that improve efficiency, enhance decision support, and create scalable actuarial capabilities.\nStrategic and decisive change agent who can move beyond technical analysis to operationalize vision, drive organizational transformation, accelerate decision-making, and deliver measurable business outcomes.\nUS military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic\nCompensation range: The salary range for this position is: $257,250 - $463,050.\nUSAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
