Try new things, learn new skills and discover what you excel at-all from Day One.\nJob Description\nIn this role, you will support U.S. Bank's Corporate Payment Systems (CPS) by writing responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) under strict deadlines and creating additional documents, including pricing proposals, standard program proposals, Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and ad hoc documents for external clients. Projects are coordinated with sales representatives and relationship managers in field offices. Manages projects independently and with adherence to detailed client specifications, with turnaround times in a typical range of one day to three weeks. Interacts with sales and relationship management staffs to integrate pricing into formal proposal documents and collaborates with product, marketing, finance, and subject matter experts to update product information, sales positioning, and proposal content to support the agreed-upon sales strategy.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience\nThree to five years of business writing experience in sales support, proposal generation, marketing, communications, publishing or print media\nPreferred Skills/Experience\nStrong writing, editing and proofreading skills\nAbility to communicate effectively on unfamiliar topics to elicit technical and program information necessary to answer client questions\nAbility to quickly assimilate new information regarding specific product and technical topics and write accurately about those topics or concepts immediately after introduction\nPossesses technical ability to adapt to proposal tools and software used by the company\nStrong organizational skills and an eye for presentation and details\nAbility to manage routine administrative tasks\nAbility to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects\nProficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint\nAdditional Preferred Experience\nExperience developing and managing responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs\nExperience coordinating proposal submissions involving multiple contributors and subject matter experts\nFamiliarity with proposal management platforms such as Responsive (RFPIO), Qvidian, or similar tools\nStrong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines\nFinancial services, payments, treasury management, commercial card, or corporate payments industry experience is a plus\nLocation Expectations\nThis role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, with an expectation of 3 or more days per week in office and flexibility to work remotely on remaining days\nIf there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.\nBenefits:\nOur approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members’ whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work.
