Job Description

Supports the sale and implementation of selected technical or complex products, services and solutions. Responsible for displaying a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of our company's products and services and how they integrate into the customer's operations, consistent with a "bundled" or "solution" oriented approach to obtaining new business. Builds customer confidence in our company's technical solutions, and addresses all technical objections/concerns from prospective customers throughout the sales cycle. Functional responsibilities may include pre-proposal discussions with potential customers either in person or via conference call, developing and delivering customized client proposals, demonstrations and presentations, consulting in technical sales strategy for customers, assisting in proposal preparation, pricing recommendations and implementation support, and training sales team with product technical details.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Provides presales technical expertise to the sales team and customers during the sales process. Provides technical input into RFP bid proposals, projects and technical documents within the sales process, and identifies additional sales opportunities with existing customers.

2. Assists in sales calls by assessing business needs through customer discussions and interactive “white-boarding” sessions/meetings.

3. Develops and presents technical proposals of how organization's products can meet customer needs and be integrated and implemented with customer's systems and equipment.

4. Conducts product/solution demonstrations as required.

5. Prepares and presents customer systems/equipment requirements to Technology, Operations, Systems and Product Management teams to ensure successful customer integration and implementation of products.

6. Installs and demonstrate the organization's products at customer sites post sale, or provides detailed client requirements to the implementation team during hand-off.

7. Maintains up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of our own and competitors' products and/or services, and informs product management of suggested enhancements or changes to our products in order to remain competitive.

8. May support the activities of sales staff at events/trade shows.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

- Typically eight to 10 years of related experience, preferably selling multiple, complex integrated solutions to a variety of customers

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Demonstrated consultative, solutions-based selling background and experience

- Proficient technical and analytical acumen

- Considerable knowledge of products and solutions in primary area of responsibility as well as related products and solutions offered by other business lines

- Solid proficiency demonstrating complex/software based solutions

- Proficient in working effectively with a variety of function groups to assemble customer solutions

- Effective presentation, training, verbal and written communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $118,170.00 - 144,430.00
