Open source tools, reproducible failure cases, benchmarks people can run\nOwn our developer-facing surfaces: docs, quickstart, the first ten minutes of using Lemma\nBe in the communities where agent engineers actually complain, and be useful there before you're promotional\nBring what you hear back to product. You'll often know what's broken before the team does\nWhat we're looking for\nYou're an engineer who writes, not a marketer who codes. We'll ask for both\nPublished technical writing we can read. Blog, docs, talks, threads, doesn't matter where\nYou've built with agents in production and can talk about specific failures, not abstractions\nStrong TypeScript, enough to ship demos and contribute to docs and product\nComfortable being early. This is the stage founders most often get backwards. You're not screening, you're making someone want the job. End it by asking their comp expectations, because finding an unbridgeable gap on day one saves you twenty hours.\nDeep dive on their past work, 60 minutes. Something they built that broke and that they had to fix under pressure. This is the single highest-signal hour in any technical loop and it costs the candidate nothing. Most take-homes are a worse version of this.\nPaid work trial, 2 days, onsite. Real problem, real codebase, sitting with you.
