Position Overview
We are seeking an Application Engineer to support and enhance business-critical applications. The role covers application development, system configuration, and production support to ensure stable and reliable system operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Operations & Application Support
- Monitor application performance and system jobs to ensure service availability
- Investigate and resolve user queries and system incidents
- Perform structured troubleshooting across applications, databases, and interfaces
- Communicate issue impact and resolution status clearly to stakeholders
Application Development
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and components
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
- Implement functional enhancements and technical improvements
- Support cross system integration development
System Configuration & Change Management
- Configure and maintain system parameters, workflows, and user access controls
- Support deployment activities and post-release verification
- Ensure changes follow established change management processes
- Maintain technical documentation for configurations and updates
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field from a local university in Singapore, or equivalent qualification
- 2–3 years of experience in application development and support
- Proficiency in SQL and .NET Core/.NET 6+ (C#)
- Understanding of application architecture and system flows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Strong ownership, quick learner, attention to detail, and professional communication skills
- Experience working with enterprise-scale systems is preferred, particularly in financial, accounting, or risk management domains
