Our unique approach to securitization combines the best minds in financial services with the know-how, flexibility, and innovation of leading technologists.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nJob Information\nThis role is responsible for hands-on development across the full cloud technology stack, strategic architecture decisions, and serving as the primary technical interface to client and U.S. FinTech leadership. Ensures delivery of scalable, secure securitization platforms while maintaining high engineering standards.\nThis role requires a strong technical and engineering foundation combined with technology governance expertise. The leader must be capable of engaging credibly with senior engineers, architects, cybersecurity professionals, data/AI functions, infrastructure/cloud teams, and application teams; understanding complex technology and related risks and controls; and translating business requirements into technical considerations.\nKey Job Functions\nWork across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences.\nDevelop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.\nEnsure seamless integration between front-end and back-end by designing and implementing APIs, data models, and communication protocols.\nEnsure application security, performance, uptime, and scale through sound cloud infrastructure engineering.\nEvaluate complex technology issues spanning cloud infrastructure, resiliency, performance, vulnerability management, technology lifecycle, observability, automation and emerging technologies.\nApply engineering and systems-thinking principles to evaluate technology risks, controls, architecture decisions, operational practices, and remediation approaches, ensuring governance is technically sound, proportionate to risk, and practical within U.S. FinTech's operating environment.\nDrive modernization of Technology Governance through automation, data analytics and AI, including opportunities to automate control evidence, compliance monitoring, technology-risk identification, management reporting and governance workflows.\nPartner with Technology and Risk stakeholders to establish pragmatic governance approaches for emerging technologies, including AI, ensuring controls and oversight remain risk-based, scalable and appropriate to the underlying use case.\nMaintain high standards for code quality and application design.\nDrive strategic technical direction and architecture decisions for the platform.\nLead technical design discussions and establish engineering best practices.\nIdentify engineering defects in the existing code base and constantly improve code quality.\nBuild executive business cases for opportunities for larger scale, long term improvements.\nServe as last line of technical support and escalation.\nWork primarily in Java, SQL, TypeScript, React, JavaScript/HTML/CSS.\nDesign and implement SQL, GraphQL APIs and AWS serverless architecture.\nCreate infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK and SAM.\nLeverage AI tools for development and product enablement.\nParticipate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.\nProvide strategic oversight of budget and resource planning.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration, alignment, and effective communication to support business priorities and successful delivery of initiatives.\nServe as external face of the engineering team to client organizations and U.S. FinTech leadership.\nTranslate business requirements into technical solutions.\nCollaborate with product, design, and operations teams.\nMaintain business continuation and customer satisfaction.\nBuild and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\nMasters degree preferred.\nMinimum Experience\nMinimum 10 years of experience in building large-scale software applications.\nMinimum 5 years of experience working in an AWS environment.\nApplicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future. U.S. FinTech does not offer H-1B sponsorship for this position.\nSpecialized Knowledge & Skills\nExperience creating infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK/SAM preferred).\nExperience in building web applications (React experience a plus).\nExperience designing and building relational database transactional applications.\nExperience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs (GraphQL a plus).\nStrong knowledge of Java/TypeScript/JavaScript and Python.\nExperience with AWS serverless architecture and cloud infrastructure.\nFamiliarity with AI development tools (eg. Amazon Q Developer/Kiro) and AI services (eg. Amazon Bedrock).\nExcellent debugging and optimization skills.\nExperience in unit/integration testing.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nProven ability to mentor and develop engineering talent.\n Experience with agile development methodologies.\nThorough understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies.\nPay Range $208,500 to $235,750\nU.S. FinTech's pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
