Get all the detailshere.\nCDL A Shuttle Driver - Position Overview\nAre you ready to join one of the foodservice industry's powerhouses? As a US Foods® CDL A Shuttle Driver, you will drive tractor trailers containing various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, dry goods, etc.) to and from remote dispatch sites. This role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.\nKey Responsibilities\nSafe Driving: Master the art of the drive, transporting various products between dispatch sites with safety and efficiency. \nTeam Up: Embrace the challenge of backhaul or delivery roles when needed, show your adaptability. \nEquipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.\nInspect and Confirm: Verify the freight on the truck, check the trailer temperatures, every detail matters. \nAdaptability: All other duties assigned by management.\nPhysical Requirements \nLift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required. \nDriving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.\nComfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.\nContinuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.\nQualifications\nRegister to the FMCSA Clearinghouse *\nMust be at least 21 years of age. \nMust have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. \n6-months commercial driving experience required. \nDoubles endorsement required AND minimum 6-months driving with doubles endorsements preferred. \nMust be comfortable working overnight. \nAbility to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations. \nMust be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.\nAbout US FOODS®\nClick here to learn more!\n*Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation.
