This includes training in equitable management practices and tools to promote engaged, collaborative, and results-driven work environments.\nThe Network Engineer has the following responsibilities:\nAssist in supporting network infrastructure, including basic break/fix tasks and routine installations.\nTroubleshoot and resolve entry-level network hardware and software issues under senior guidance.\nMonitor network activity to identify irregularities and escalating issues appropriately.\nSupport network uptime and health monitoring to ensure availability of critical systems.\nAssist with IOS patch management tasks as directed.\nHelp maintain network availability in alignment with Service Level Agreements.\nParticipate in capacity and performance assessments to understand network growth needs.\nProvide input on network design improvements focused on routing and switching.\nAssist with coordination of vendors and service providers during project tasks.\nCreate and maintain accurate network documentation following organizational SOPs.\nResearch and recommend basic hardware or software updates to improve network performance.\nSupport evaluation of new equipment for compatibility with existing systems.\nParticipate in disaster recovery exercises and planning activities.\nProvide limited support for F5 load balancer tasks under supervision.\nAssist with Wi-Fi troubleshooting and basic wireless configuration tasks.\nParticipate in on-call support and occasional off-hours maintenance/project work including Saturdays and Sundays.\nWork onsite during the workweek.\nPerform other related duties as needed.\nWho is USP Looking For?\nThe successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience: \nBachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.\nProven experience with Cisco networking technologies, backed by an active CCNA certification.\nThree (3) years of experience in network support, administration, or related IT functions.\nFoundational knowledge of enterprise networking platforms, especially Cisco and/or Juniper.\nStrong interest and developing expertise in routing and switching technologies.\nBasic understanding of firewall concepts and administration.\nKnowledge of VLANs and network segmentation strategies.\nFamiliarity with network security principles such as VPNs, IPSEC, 802.1x, and RADIUS.\nExposure to F5 load balancers (basic understanding).\nExposure to Wi-Fi technologies and wireless troubleshooting.\nAbility to use network monitoring tools and follow troubleshooting methodologies.\nAbility to monitor network usage and escalate potential issues.\nCollaborative mindset for working with application and infrastructure teams.\nAbility to learn emerging technologies quickly and independently.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nEffective communication and documentation skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced IT environment and manage shifting priorities.\nAbility to work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNone, this is an individual contributor role.\nBenefits:\nUSP provides the benefits to protect yourself and your family today and tomorrow.
