Visit us at .\nSummary:\nUST is looking for Backend/API developer\nThe Opportunity:\nWe are seeking an experienced AWS + API Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based solutions and RESTful/GraphQL APIs. \nYou will work on microservices architectures, optimize cloud infrastructure, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance applications. \nKey Responsibilities: \nDesign and develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs with a focus on scalability, security, and performance Architect and deploy cloud solutions on AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.) Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or SAM Optimize database performance and design schemas for relational and NoSQL databases Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices (OAuth, JWT, IAM roles) Monitor, debug, and optimize API performance using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and other AWS monitoring tools Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams Required Qualifications: \n5+ years of professional experience in backend/API development Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or similar) 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing REST/GraphQL APIs Solid understanding of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB) \nExperience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS preferred) \nFamiliarity with Git and agile development practices Strong problem-solving skills and ability to write clean, maintainable code \nPreferred Qualifications \nExperience with serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions) Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK) Experience with message queues (SQS, SNS, Kafka) AWS certification (Solutions Architect, Developer Associate, or higher) Experience with API testing, security, and rate limiting Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic) Technical Skills Summary\nLanguages: Java, Python, Node.js, Go, C#, or similar\nAWS Services: Lambda, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, CloudFormation, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC \nDatabases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis Tools & Frameworks: Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins, CircleCI, Terraform, OpenAPI/Swagger API Patterns: REST, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets, event-driven architecturesWhat we believe:\nWe’re proud to embrace the same values that have shaped UST since the beginning.
