The role focuses on Procurement, Sourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Supplier Management, and related Source-to-Pay capabilities.\nAs a Coupa subject matter expert and escalation point, the role handles complex configuration, integration, data, access, and production issues. The position focuses on non-routine problem-solving, platform scalability, project delivery, and long-term risk reduction.\nThe role also involves collaborating with business stakeholders, leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), supporting change management processes, mentoring junior administrators, and identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve procurement processes and outcomes.\nPrimary Responsibilities - CoupaLead advanced configuration and administration across Coupa Procurement, Sourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management, Supplier Management, and related Source-to-Pay capabilities.Translate complex business requirements into scalable functional and technical solutions across Coupa configuration areas.Lead configuration workstreams for new implementations, global rollouts, continuous improvement initiatives, and new capability enablement.\nAssess cross-module and upstream/downstream impacts before introducing changes, with particular attention to Procurement, Accounts Payable, Supplier, Contract, and ERP dependencies.\nOwn complex production issue resolution through root-cause analysis, durable corrective actions, and preventive improvements.\nReview Coupa release notes and product roadmap updates, evaluate business impact, and recommend platform improvements and process efficiencies.\nTechnical, Integration & Data Expertise\nMaintain strong knowledge of Coupa configuration, data structures, module dependencies, release behavior, and Source-to-Pay process design.\nDesign, support, and optimize integrations between Coupa and ERP, middleware, identity, supplier, payment, reporting, and other enterprise platforms using APIs, file-based interfaces, and scheduled data feeds.\nDevelop and maintain source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, validation rules, error handling, reconciliation processes, and technical support documentation.Partner with internal IT teams, middleware providers, Coupa Support, and external vendors on solution design, troubleshooting, defect resolution, release coordination, and regression risk management.Establish and enforce data quality, access, security, and governance controls aligned with enterprise compliance requirements.AI, Automation & Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities to use AI, Generative AI, automation, and agent-based capabilities to improve Source-to-Pay processes, decision support, user experience, and operational efficiency.Partner with Procurement stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and AI governance groups to define use cases, requirements, controls, and success measures.Coordinate requirements for Coupa AI capabilities and agent-based solutions.Apply working knowledge of AI/ML, Generative AI, orchestration, prompt design, and responsible AI principles when evaluating or implementing solutions.Monitor the Coupa roadmap and procurement technology market for relevant AI developments while ensuring confidentiality, data integrity, and appropriate human oversight.Share practical guidance that strengthens the team's understanding of AI concepts and their responsible application within procurement technology.Testing, Release & Platform ReliabilityDevelop test strategies and lead end-to-end validation, regression testing, UAT, defect tracking, release readiness, and post-implementation stabilization.Maintain configuration timelines, decision logs, test evidence, defect matrices, runbooks, and functional and technical documentation.Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders to confirm production readiness, cutover activities, support coverage, and rollback considerations.Use reporting and data analysis to assess change impacts, identify trends, support compliance requirements, and improve platform reliability.Project & Cross-Functional LeadershipServe as a Coupa technical subject matter expert for enterprise projects, global initiatives, and Source-to-Pay transformation programs.Lead or support requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, functional and technical design reviews, solution decisions, and stakeholder alignment.Communicate complex information effectively to business, technical, vendor, and leadership audiences.Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and design review support to other administrators to strengthen overall platform maturity.Change Management & CAB ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with project management teams to track changes through tools such as Jira and ServiceNow.Ensure changes follow established change-control processes, including accurate documentation, logs, and approvals.\nPrepare change management documentation, including change request forms and impact assessments.\nPresent proposed changes during Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, clearly communicating risks, mitigations, and deployment plans.\nSupport post-change reviews and compliance audits while driving continuous improvement in change management processes.\nAdditional Responsibilities - Preferred\nWorking knowledge of SAP Concur or other financial systems supporting Travel, Expense, Procurement, Invoicing, or Accounts Payable processes.\nUnderstanding of how Coupa interacts with SAP-based ERP systems, SAP Concur, middleware, identity platforms, and enterprise reporting solutions.\nAbility to support cross-platform impact analysis and integrated Procure-to-Pay and Travel-and-Expense process design.\nRole Scope &\nManage Coupa as an enterprise platform with accountability for advanced technical enablement, scalability, reliability, and risk reduction.Operate independently, lead significant project activities, and solve complex problems involving multiple systems and dependencies.Act as an escalation point for complex production issues, configuration decisions, integration impacts, vendor technical engagement, and release risks.Drive alignment on configuration standards, documentation, governance, and long-term platform health.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. 5-8 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated experience administering or implementing Coupa in a complex enterprise environment.Hands-on Coupa configuration experience across Procurement and one or more related modules such as Sourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management, or Supplier Management.Strong business knowledge of Source-to-Pay processes, including procurement, supplier management, contracts, sourcing, invoicing, and Accounts Payable.Experience with enterprise integrations, APIs, file-based interfaces, middleware, master data, access models, and technical troubleshooting.Proven ability to manage complex system changes, testing, release readiness, defect resolution, documentation, and cross-functional delivery.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.Working knowledge of AI/ML and Generative AI concepts, including evaluation of relevant use cases, risks, controls, and responsible implementation considerations.Exposure to implementing AI/Generative AI capabilities, automation, orchestration tools, or agent-based solutions within Coupa or another procurement application.Knowledge of Coupa AI capabilities, product roadmap, Community, support processes, and release-management practices.Preferred QualificationsExperience with SAP Concur and integrated Travel, Expense, Procurement, or Procure-to-Pay ecosystems.Exposure to SAP ERP, middleware platforms, Identity and Access Management (IAM), enterprise reporting, and global financial-system deployments.What we believe:\nWe’re proud to embrace the same values that have shaped UST since the beginning.
