Visit us at UST.com.\nJob Description:\n\nKey Responsibilities in Your New Role\n· Developing and maintaining code examples demonstrating Class B and SIL 2 self-test coverage, including CPU, RAM, Flash, clock, stack, and watchdog diagnostics.\n· Debugging and validating self-test libraries and safety diagnostics across application code, register-level, and board-level environments. · Collaborating with R&D, Software, and Marketing teams to align safety content with product roadmaps and customer requirements.\n· Authoring and maintaining application notes, safety manuals, and technical documentation.\n· Supporting Class B / SIL 2 certification activities, including preparing evidence packages and coordinating with internal teams and third-party certification bodies.\nQualifications\n· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent,with 3–6 years of experience in embedded development.\n· Skilled in C programming, with experience in C++, Python, and/or assembly language.\n·· Solid understanding of standard MCU peripherals and system resources, including clocks/PLLs, watchdogs/timers, UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, and PWM.\n·· Experience with Arm Cortex-M MCUs, preferably PSoC Control and XMC families, across single- and multi-core architectures.\n·· Ability to debug and root-cause issues at the application code, register, and board level; comfortable using debuggers such as GDB/JTAG, oscilloscopes, and fault-injection techniques.\n·· Working knowledge of IEC 61508 (SIL 2) and/or ISO 26262 is desired; familiarity with IEC 60730/60335 Class B requirements is advantageous.\n·· Hands-on experience with Class B / SIL 2 self-test libraries, including CPU register/PC/interrupt tests, RAM march tests, Flash CRC/signature checks, clock monitoring, and stack/watchdog tests, is a plus.\n· Experience authoring or contributing to safety manuals, FMEDA reports, and application notes is a\nplus.\nProfessional Skills\n-Effective oral and written communication skills, including technical documentation.\n· Ability to translate certification and standards requirements into practical application content, such as code examples, application notes, and training materials.\n· Ability to independently plan and prioritize deliverables against program timelines.\nAt UST, our culture is built on our core values:\n\nHumility:\nWe listen, learn, and act selflessly.\n\nHumanity:\nWe strive to improve the lives of others through our work.\n\nIntegrity:\nWe honor commitments and act responsibly.\nWe celebrate diversity, inclusion, and innovation placing people at the center of everything we do.\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement UST is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
