Visit us at www.ust.com\nUST is looking for Talend Developer\nJob Title: Talend Developer\nExperience: 7+ Years\nLocation: Chennai / Pune\nWe are looking for an experienced Talend Developer to support the assessment, migration, validation, and phased decommissioning of existing Talend workloads as they transition to Databricks.\nThe ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in Talend Data Integration, Java-based Talend customizations, and legacy ETL workflows. The role requires close collaboration with architects and Databricks engineers to ensure existing business logic, dependencies, reconciliation rules, and runtime behavior are accurately understood and reproduced during migration.\nWork closely with the architect to review the existing Talend inventory and identify:\nJob dependencies and hidden couplingShared routinesJARs and pluginsJobletsContext groupsCustom componentsClassify Talend jobs into simple, complex/custom, and difficult categories.\nIdentify and document:\nPlatform-specific protections and configurationsCustom Java implementationsThird-party componentsMainframe integrationsKafka touchpointsReview CodeCrafter-generated extracted logic across samples from each complexity category.\n\nValidate, correct, or annotate inferred business rules before conversion activities begin.\n\nExplain legacy Talend behavior to Databricks engineers, including:\nAmbiguous expressions\nNull and reject handling\nType coercion\nScheduling behavior\nJob execution logic\n\nSupport Gate 1 source baselines by documenting:\nHow existing jobs are parameterized and executed\nWhat existing run history indicates\nWhere current reconciliation logic resides\n\nParticipate in mismatch and reconciliation triage to determine whether variances are caused by:\nExisting Talend behavior or quirks\nSource or data issues\nConversion defects\n\nDocument findings and resolutions to support migration acceptance.\n\nAdvise on decommissioning sequencing to ensure Talend jobs are retired only after their Databricks equivalents have been successfully accepted.\n7+ years of hands-on experience with Talend Data Integration, including:\nTalend StudioTAC / TMCtMaptJava / tJavaRowRoutinesContext groupsJobletsCustom componentsStrong ability to read, understand, and explain Java code embedded within Talend jobs and routines.\nPrevious experience supporting a Talend decommissioning or migration to another data platform.\nAbility to explain complex legacy Talend logic clearly to engineers who may not have prior Talend experience.\nPrior experience with payments or financial-services data flows.\nExposure to:\nTalend ESBTalend Data QualityTalend MDMFamiliarity with Apache Spark and/or Databricks concepts, with the ability to bridge Talend and Databricks implementations.\nWhat we believe:\nWe’re proud to embrace the same values that have shaped UST since the beginning.
