Our entrepreneurial teams are empowered to innovate, act nimbly, and create a lasting and sustainable impact for our clients, their customers, and the communities in which we live.\nWith us, you’llcreate a boundless impact that transforms your career-and the lives of people across the world.\nVisit us at UST.com.\nYou Are:\nUST is looking for highly skilled Senior SDET / QA Automation Engineer with expertisein Playwright automation, database testing, and retail domain applications to support a large-scale End-to-End Quality Engineering (QE) transformation program.\nThe opportunity:\nThe role requires a strong technical foundation along with the ability to work directly with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, development teams, and offshore QA teams.\nThe candidate will act as the onsite quality engineering representative, driving end-to-end testing initiatives, requirement analysis, defect triage, test automation adoption, and stakeholder communication across multiple applications and integrations.\nThe role involves testing enterprise retail systems, validatingcomplex data flows, and ensuring successful delivery of business-critical programs leveragingPlaywright automation and database validation capabilities.\nThe responsibilities include Playwright-based automation, API testing, database validation, and testing of E2E retail workflows.\n\nStakeholder & Development Team Collaboration.\nServe as the primary QE point of contact for client stakeholders and product teams.\nParticipate in requirement discussions, architecture reviews, sprint planning, and release readiness reviews.\nWork closely with development teams to understand application functionality, technical designs, APIs, database structures, and business workflows.\nLead defect triage meetings and drive timelyissue resolution with developers and SMEs.\nCoordinate with offshore QE teams to ensure alignment on priorities, execution status, and deliverables.\n\nPresent test strategy, test execution status, quality metrics, risks, and recommendations to leadership and business stakeholders.\n\nFacilitate requirements of clarification sessions and proactively identifytesting risks and dependencies.\nTest Automation & Quality Engineering Design and develop robust automation frameworks using Playwright.\nAutomate UI, API, and End-to-End business workflows across multiple retail applications.\nDevelop reusable automation components and accelerate automation adoption.\nSupport CI/CD integration and continuous testing practices.\nPerform root cause analysis of production and pre-production defects. Database & Data Validation.\n\nDevelop complex SQL queries for backend validation.\nValidate data consistency across multiple enterprise platforms.\nPerform testing against BigQuery, Cosmos DB, DB2, and relational databases.\nValidate ETL, CDC, integration, and data transformation processes.\nEnsure end-to-end data integrity across retail business workflows.\nRetail Domain Testing Validate business processes across:\n\nInventory Management o Replenishment o Supply Chain\n\nMerchandising Item Management Forecasting & Planning.\nCreate and execute end-to-end test scenarios covering complex retail workflows.\nPartner with business SMEs to ensure adequate functionaland business coverage.\nMentor junior automation engineers.\nConduct code reviews and automation best practice reviews.\nDrive quality engineering standards and automation strategy.\n\nSupport estimations, planning, roadmap discussions, and release planning activities.\n\nThis position description identifiesthe responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.\nWhat you need:\nTechnical Skills:\nStrong proficiencyin: TypeScript / JavaScript, SQL.\nHands-on experience with:Playwright o REST Assured/Postman, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps/Jenkins/GitHub Actions.\nStrong database testing expertiseincluding:BigQuery, Cosmos DB, DB2, SQL Server / Oracle Domain\n\nExperience:\nMinimum5+ years of Retail/E-commerce domain experience.\n\nExperience in Replenishment, Inventory, Supply Chain, Merchandising, or Forecasting applications preferred.\nExperience validatingcomplex end-to-end business processes across integrated systems.\nSoft Skills:\nStrong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.\n\nAbility to confidently interact with Directors, Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering Leaders.\nProven experience leading discussions, providing status updates, and driving actions to closure.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently in a fast-paced onsite environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in Large retail transformation programs.\nExperience working with distributed onsite-offshore delivery models.\nExposure to Kafka, Spark, Airflow, and cloud-native data platforms.\n\nIdeal Candidate Profile A technically strong Senior SDET who can comfortably sit with business stakeholders and development teams, understand requirements and architecture, challenge gaps, drive quality discussions, automate critical E2E retail workflows, and act as the bridge between client stakeholders, development teams, and offshore QE delivery.\nCompensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST providesa reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.\nRole Location: AR\nCompensation Range:$90,000 - $135,000\nBenefits\nFull-time, regular employeesaccruea minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year(pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leaveand jury duty.
