Software Engineer

UST is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software applications. The role works with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions and supports APIs, integrations, backend services, and application quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices
• Participate in code reviews and ensure software quality
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders
• Develop APIs, integrations, and backend services as required
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
• Create and maintain technical documentation. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or Go
• Experience with object-oriented design principles and software development methodologies
• Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and web technologies
• Experience with databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
