Visit us at .\nJob Title: Specialist I - Software Engineering Role Summary\nWe are looking for a Solutions Architect to support the Property Technologies (Smart Buildings) portfolio. This role will be responsible for designing and guiding technology solutions that support property technology applications, integrations, data processing, and operational platforms.\nThe Solutions Architect will work closely with business teams, product owners, developers, cloud teams, data teams, and support teams to translate business needs into simple, scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.\nThe role requires strong experience in cloud-based application architecture, backend systems, APIs, databases, and modern engineering practices. The key technologies used include Python, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, and PostgreSQL.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign high-level and detailed solution architecture for PropTech applications and platforms.\nUnderstand business requirements and convert them into practical technical designs.\nProvide architecture guidance for applications, integrations, data flows, and backend services.\nSupport solutions built using Python, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, and PostgreSQL.\nDefine scalable and reliable patterns for data processing, workflow orchestration, and system integrations.\nReview technical designs and provide guidance to development teams.\nEnsure solutions are secure, maintainable, reusable, and aligned with Prologis technology standards.\nIdentify technical risks, dependencies, gaps, and possible mitigation options.\nSupport API design, database design, cloud architecture, and integration planning.\nWork with cross-functional teams including business users, product owners, developers, QA, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams.\nCreate and maintain architecture diagrams, solution design documents, and technical decision records.\nSupport production readiness by considering performance, monitoring, logging, error handling, and supportability.\nRequired Skills and Experience\nExperience as a Solutions Architect, Technical Architect, or Senior Technical Lead.\nStrong understanding of cloud-based application architecture, preferably on AWS.\nHands-on experience or strong working knowledge of Python.\nExperience with serverless architecture using AWS Lambda.\nExperience with workflow orchestration using AWS Step Functions.\nGood knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.\nExperience designing backend services, APIs, integrations, and data flows.\nGood understanding of application security, access control, performance, scalability, and reliability.\nAbility to create clear architecture diagrams and technical documentation.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience working in Agile delivery environments.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience in Property Technologies (Smart Buildings), logistics real estate domain , property operations, or enterprise application portfolios.\nExperience with AWS services such as API Gateway, S3, RDS, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, IAM, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch.\nExperience with REST APIs and third-party system integrations.\nUnderstanding of monitoring, logging, ing, and observability tools.\nExperience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and production support processes.\nKnowledge of data quality, error handling, retry mechanisms, and operational reporting.\nWhat we believe:\nWe’re proud to embrace the same values that have shaped UST since the beginning.
