Working both with internal and external customers. This role includes physical setup of dynamometer systems and customer test parts. Test parts are generally automotive in nature but may be test associated with other industries as well. Test technicians work with test engineers to bring testing systems together and support operations. This role requires the ability to successfully manage tasks and assignments in multiple areas. Initiative and ownership of responsibilities are critical to the success of this individual.\n Essential Duties and Responsibilities:\nSupport engineers/customers when needed\n\nSetting up test cells\n\nAssemble automotive/propulsion systems\n\nCleaning/Organizing test cells and facilities\n\nBuilding oil conditioning carts\n\nFabricating and/or machining fixturing\n\nKeeping workspace clean (Shop/Trash cans/Fab room)\n\nKeeping cells running after shop hours\n\nMaintaining shop inventory\n\nSupport troubleshooting\n\nOther duties as requested\n\nAssists in supporting the UTAC culture and values (Integrity, Expertise, and Innovation)\n\nEducation and Skill Requirements:\nHigh School degree or equivalent experience\n\n2+ years of relevant work experience in the automotive (or other propulsion system) industry preferred\n\nFluency in the English language is required\n\nDemonstrated record of driving results\n\nStrong problem solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills required\n\nAble to relay technical information in a way your audience understands\n\nConsistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job\n\nDemonstrated interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and suppliers\n\nProficient with all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to become proficient in any systems that we use (Concur, Kronos, etc.)\n\nFlexibility to support service activity both off-site and outside of normal working hours\n\nOrganize and maintain efficiency of personal work area\n\nWorking knowledge of the automotive industry preferred\n\nExperience in the vehicle testing and validation industry preferred\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills required\n\nStrong time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills\n\nAble to function as part of a team, with members of varying job levels, and work cooperatively toward team goals\n\nMust have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, customers and suppliers\n\nOrganize and maintain efficiency of personal work area\n\nStrong problem solving and analytical skills\n\nValid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for traveling between multiple work sites as needed\n\nValid passport and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed\n\nRequired on-site work as needed, per our Remote Work Policy\n\nGive and accept instructions and tasks in a positive manner, treating all co-workers with dignity and respect\n\nConsistently adhere to, and support all UTAC policies, procedures, and safety regulations\n\nCandidate recommended to have their own basic automotive tool set\n\nStrong attention to detail required\n\nExceptional work ethic and positive attitude required\n\nSelf-starter, who can multi-task and possess strong communication skills\n\nAble to function as part of a team, with members of varying job levels, and work cooperatively toward team goals\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nExposure to industry accepted chemicals and noise\n\nRegularly required to stand, reach, bend and move about the facility\n\nAble to lift and/or move materials as needed in the performance of assigned duties\n\nRequirements include, but are not limited to stand, walk, sit, twist, bed, life, see, speak, hear\n\nMay require occasional travel (locally, nationally, internationally)\n\n For you, as a potential UTAC team member, we believe that the international and diverse nature of our business combined with the passion, energy and friendliness of our people create a great place to work.
