The successful role holder will be responsible for preparing bucks and rigs for Sled tests, recording data, initial approval, and de-prep following test completion.\nResponsibilities\nPrepare rigs for Sled tests to customer requirements\nMechanical fitting of test fixtures \nSet up high speed cameras to customer requirements \nSet up data acquisition systems \nCollect and download data during tests\nSetting crash test dummies to customer requirements\nLiaise with UTAC Engineers\nWork to procedures\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives\nAct in accordance with the behaviours for UTAC staff at all times\n Qualifications\nAutomotive Qualification\nMechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or experience to match \nHNC/HND in Engineering (preferred but not compulsory)\nExperience\nPrevious Mechanical or electrical technician/engineering experience\nExperienced in a testing environment\nWelding and fabricating experience (preferable but not compulsory)\nPhotographic experience (preferable but not compulsory)\nData collection experience (preferable but not compulsory)\nSkills\nSound knowledge of mechanical and / or electrical principles\nStrong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills\nIT literate \nKnowledge of high speed data and video capture considered an advantage\nStrong organisational, analytical and problem solving skills\nPersonal Behaviour's\nExcellent attention to detail\nMust be able to work independently and more importantly as a team.\nAble to work on multiple projects\nWillingness to learn\nFlexible and adaptable\nHighly motivated team player\nCustomer focused\nHigh level of confidentiality and integrity\nOther\nAble to support a 6:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 shift pattern\nPrepared to work overtime as required\nFlexibility to travel as and when required\nFull UK driving license & own transport (UTAC Millbrook is not easily assessable via public transport)\nSC clearance or ability to achieve this (UK national with residency in the UK for the last 5 years)\nWilling to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check\n For you, as a potential UTAC team member, we believe that the international and diverse nature of our business combined with the passion, energy and friendliness of our people create a great place to work.
