This service operates on a 24/7 basis to meet our customer’s requirements.\nResponsibilities will include test sample (transmissions, axles, e-Machines and electric-drive-units) installation and rig set ups, the monitoring of samples in test, daily checks and servicing of the samples and equipment. We will provide you with training as required.\nRole & Responsibilities\nPrepare and install samples (transmission and electric-drive-units) on test rigs.\nComplete basic Test Automation Setup and Configuration - training will be provided.\nFollow Test and Operational derived Risk Assessments.\nFollow safe Working Procedures at all times\nDay to day maintenance and housekeeping of Facilities\nProvide basic level of Facility breakdown diagnostics and resolution.\nAct in accordance with the behaviours for UTAC staff at all times\nExperience\nExperience in a test laboratory, or automotive vehicle repair, or heavy truck repair and maintenance\nEV and / or HV experience (desirable not essential)\nDriveline testing (desirable not essential)\nBasic software skills would be an advantage\nAn understanding of CAN and associated tools (desirable not essential)\nSkills\nProficient with mechanical assembly\nAble to complete basic electrical wiring\nAbility to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings - training will be provided\nFabrication skills (desirable)\nProficient with Microsoft Office applications and computer-based file structures\nGood oral, written and interpersonal communication skills\nGood organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills\nPersonal Behaviours\nWillingness to learn\nInterest in driveline technology\nMethodical\nCustomer focused\nMotivated team player\nProfessional attitude with a can-do approach\nOther\nThe successful candidate is required to have manual handling experience of a load approx. 25kg activities will include bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity\nShift working Rolling week - 4 on 4 off, alternating early/late\nFlexibility to travel as and when required\nFull UK driving licence\nWilling to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check\nNOTE: This position is based on site in Leyland, Lancashire\n Time served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.\n For you, as a potential UTAC team member, we believe that the international and diverse nature of our business combined with the passion, energy and friendliness of our people create a great place to work.
