Sergeant - Corrections, maintains security of the Utah County Jail by constantly observing interior and exterior areas, controlling electronic doors, and monitoring activities of inmates and staff via CCTV, security cameras, intercom, and radio.\nStarting Pay: $19.25 to $22.15 Hourly (depending on years of experience)\nFull-time Rotating Work Schedule: • 7 night shifts: Tuesday-Monday • 4 days off • 4-day shifts: Saturday-Tuesday • 7 days off • 3-day shifts: Wednesday-Friday • 3 days off Then the schedule repeats.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMonitor inmate and staff activity via CCTV, intercom, and radio\nControl electronic doors and inmate movement\nReport emergencies and unusual activity\nMaintain communication with inmates and staff\nLog activities and operate security equipment\nRequirements:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n1 year of work experience (or substitute with an associate's degree)\nMust pass a drug screen and background check\nPreferred
