Desired courses to be taught include Maintenance Engineering, Dynamics, Mechanical Vibrations, Mechanical Systems Design, Computational Mechanics, Advanced Manufacturing and other undergraduate or graduate courses related to the Mechanical Engineering curriculum.\nOnce hired, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, do research and obtain competitive external funding, establish an active cross-disciplinary research program, and contribute through service to the profession, the department, and UTEC. Applicants with a strong scholarly background and research potential are encouraged to apply.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nPhD in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.\n\nBachelor’s and/or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.\n\nDemonstrated experience authoring and publishing scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.\n\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\n\nStrong interpersonal skills.\n\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students.\n\nFull professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken; Spanish is desirable.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nUniversity-level teaching experience in Mechanical Engineering or related courses.\n\nExperience supervising undergraduate and/or graduate theses, capstone projects, and research projects.\n\nExperience preparing and submitting research grant proposals.\n\nDemonstrated interest or experience in collaborating with academic institutions, industry partners, and/or community organizations.\n\n“At UTEC, we reaffirm our commitment to diversity and inclusion.
