We are looking for someone that will support our mission to consistently deliver creative, high-quality, technology-based services to our customers on time and within budget.\nThis position will be responsible for working in a team environment, geared toward the development, prototyping, manufacturing, testing and mass production of small caliber munitions.\nWhat will you be doing?\nThis position will be a key member of the Small Caliber Munitions or Medium Caliber Munitions Division.\nDuties include:\nProvide engineering support for the development and manufacturing of Small Caliber Munitions\nSupport all aspects of design, prototype, testing and/or manufacturing\nPrepare designs using 3D CAD (Creo) modeling software\nDocument designs using the Army’s design standards and GD&T\nWrite test plans and work closely with testing groups\nDevelop and present briefings to the team as well as management\nWork with manufacturing teams to develop functional prototypes, develop pilot manufacturing processes, and/or develop production level manufacturing processes\nBe able to support mature designs currently in production\nSupport travel as needed up to 25%\nWhat skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?\nThis position will require the following skillsets and experience:\nMust be a US Citizen and able to obtain a clearance through the DoD security background investigation process\nPass drug and alcohol testing\nMust have good mechanical skills and at minimum 5 years of experience\nMust have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline\nKnowledge of manufacturing principles and processes\nExperience with engineering software, including Creo CAD\nKnowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)\nHigh standard of quality and efficiency\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills\nKnowledge of weapons and firearms a plus\nMust be a team player, able to multitask and prioritize accordingly\nFluent in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)\nMust have a valid NJ driver’s license\nPast or present military personnel are encouraged to apply\n\nRead about our benefits here: Our Benefits - UTRS |Always, Got Your Back\nUTRS is an Equal Opportunity employer.
