This position is located at Picatinny Arsenal.\nWhat will you be doing?\nThis position will be a key member of the Prototype Manufacturing team. Duties to include On the Job Training for:\nGeneral welding and joining\nOperation of manual machining, milling and turning\nOperation and setup of CNC machinery\nCapable of performing basic shop tasks\nSupport engineering activities\nAssists with day to day needs of the shop\nWhat skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?\nThis position will require the following skillsets and experience:\nPass drug and alcohol testing\nMust have good mechanical skills and experience\nHigh standard of quality and efficiency\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills\nSolid knowledge of shop mathematics\nMust be a team player, able to multitask and prioritize accordingly\nBasic PC knowledge (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)\nMust be able to work in a physical capacity, lifting and moving heavy object\nMust be a US Citizen\nMust have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a government driver’s license\nWorking towards a High School diploma\nCurrently enrolled in a high school, metal working/welding class\nMust have at least 2 years in high school metal working/welding class or equivalent experience\nKnowledge of CAD systems a plus\nStrong “hands on” mechanical skills\nRead about our benefits here:Our Benefits - UTRS | Thinking Forward\nUTRS is an Equal Opportunity employer.
