This position is full-time on post at Picatinny Arsenal.\nWhat will you be doing?\nThis position will be a key member of the Small Caliber or Medium Caliber Munitions teams. Duties include:\nParticipate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings in person and via Microsoft Teams\nCreate weapon designs and engineering drawings, analyze tolerance stack ups, ensure geometric dimensioning and tolerances are suitable for production\nCoordinate Technical Data Package (TDP) changes with design engineers\nUtilize CREO, Windchill and other software to develop and manage the desired TDP changes\nDevelop structural analysis finite element models using ANSYS and or Abaqus\nPost process data from instrumented product testing to validate analysis results\nProcessing engineering change proposals\nOther duties as assigned\nWhat skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?\nThis position will require the following skillsets and experience:\nMust be a US Citizen with a valid driver’s license\nMust be able to obtain SECRET clearance and a CAC ID\nMust be able to pass drug and alcohol testing\n5 years of professional experience\nASME Drawing practices (Y14.3, Y14.100)\nUnderstanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances\nCAD Modeling and component design - CREO, SolidWorks or similar\nEngineering Analysis - ANSYS, ABAQUS, LMS Virtual Lab or similar (FEA contacting assemblies, bolted connections, non-linear, transient dynamic)\nProgramming environments MATLAB, Simulink, Labview, Excel VBA, Python\nData processing, analysis, visualization\nElective undergraduate or graduate level coursework in structural analysis\nUnderstanding of different materials, heat treating, coatings\nUnderstanding of the manufacturing processes\nWelding processes and callouts\nQuality Assurance Provision preparations (or alternative approaches to traditional QAP)\nTravel requirements up to 20%\nProficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook at a minimum\nExcellent communication skills and writing skills\nExcellent at multi-tasking and understanding priorities\nGovernment or contractor experience a plus\n\nRead about our benefits here: Our Benefits - UTRS |Always, Got Your Back\nUTRS is an Equal Opportunity employer.
