This person is responsible for setting up and assembling test fixtures, various mechanical components and other laboratory tasks. This position is located at Picatinny Arsenal.\nWhat will you be doing?\nDuties include:\nLoading of small arms ammunition\nPreparing, measuring and disposing of ballistic targets\nAssemble and Set up, Test Fixtures\nOperate manual machine tools as well as hand tools\nReport production status daily\nPerform basic quality checks on machined parts using all types of Micrometers, height gages, gage pins, and venire calipers\nBasic laboratory functions\nBasic custodian functions\nProviding support as required by the project officers\nWhat skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?\nThis position will require the following skillsets and experience:\nMust be able to obtain a clearance through the DoD security background investigation process\nPass drug and alcohol testing\nMust have good mechanical skills and experience\nMust be able to pass medical surveillance testing specific to job duties working with energetic materials\nHigh standard of quality and efficiency\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills\nMust be a team player, able to multitask and prioritize accordingly\nBasic PC knowledge (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)\nMust be able to work in a physical capacity, lifting and moving heavy object\nHave firearms and or machine shop experience\nFirearms experience can be from military or law enforcement experience or hobbyist/hunting\nWill be required to handle small arms propellant\nMust be able to take and pass AMMO-45 online certification and appropriate safety training provided by the test facility\nMust have a valid NJ driver’s license and be able to obtain a government driver’s license\nHigh School diploma required, College degree not required but beneficial\nPast or present military personnel are encouraged to apply\nMust be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Security Clearance\n\nRead about our benefits here: Our Benefits - UTRS |Always, Got Your Back\nUTRS is an Equal Opportunity employer.
