Aligned around a shared purpose, our $3.9B company and 16,000 people work alongside our clients, here and abroad, to tackle their most complex challenges with integrity, respect, responsibility, and professionalism.\nThe Appliance Technician is a professional who installs appliances, executes maintenance, and diagnoses repair of damaged or malfunctioning appliances on-site or in the shop, depending upon the needs of the customer.\nResponsibilities\nThis position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.\nInstalls, services, and repairs washers and dryers, using hand tools and test equipment, and following wiring diagrams and manufacturers’ specifications.\nConnects appliances to power sources and test meters, such as wattmeter, ammeter, or voltmeter; observes readings on meters and graphic recorders; examines appliances during operating cycles to detect excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks, and loose parts; and disassembles appliances to examine mechanical and electrical parts.\nTraces electrical circuits, following diagrams and locates shorts and grounds using ohmmeter, calibrates timers, thermostats; adjusts contact points; and cleans and washes parts using wire brushes, buffers, and solvent to remove carbon, grease, and dust.\nReplaces worn or defective parts, such as switches, pumps, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, blowers, and defective wiring; repairs and adjust appliance motors; reassembles appliances; adjusts pulleys; and lubricates moving parts using hand tools and lubrication equipment.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nEducation / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.High school diploma or equivalent.\nCapable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal.\n\n Experience:Two (2) years of appliance repair technical experience..\n\nSkills & Technology Used:Must read, write, and speak English fluently\nReplaces worn or defective parts\nConnects appliances to power sources abd test meters\n\nAt V2X, we are deeply committed to both equal employment opportunity, including protection for Veterans and individuals with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
