Aligned around a shared purpose, our $4.5B company and 16,000 people work alongside our clients, here and abroad, to tackle their most complex challenges with integrity, respect, responsibility, and professionalism.\nUnder the supervision of the Automotive Mechanic Lead, performs the full range of field-level overhaul work on one or more types of vehicles powered by internal combustion engines, gasoline, or multi-fuel.\nResponsibilities\nThis position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. \nPerforms the full range of repair and modification work on heavy/light equipment and vehicles powered by internal combustion engines. \nExamine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions. \nAccurately troubleshoots, isolates, and identify faults of equipment systems and subsystems. \nTest drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices. \nRepairs, relines, replaces, and adjusts. \nFollows checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas. \nFollows repair procedures, using charts, and technical manuals. \nTests and adjusts repaired systems to meet military performance specifications. \nPerforms routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups. \nDisassemble units and inspect parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. \nPerforms other duties as assigned. \nQualifications\nEducation/Certifications:One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.\n\nEducation:High School Diploma or equivalent required.\nApprenticeship in Light/Heavy Automobile Repair, Automotive Mechanic or similar preferred.\nMust have country of origin driver license.\nMust be a U.S. citizen\nAbility to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Philippines Heavy Driver’s License as required.\n\n Experience:At minimum Four (4) years’ experience as an automotive maintenance mechanic.\n\nSkills:Must have knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.\nFamiliar with the usage of computer based technical manuals preferred.\nThe ability to troubleshoot, determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.\nEnglish proficiency Reading & Speaking Level 2, Writing Level 1.\nRequires a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation, and teamwork.\nMust exercise discretion and good sound judgment.\nCapable of performing work while wearing personnel protective equipment.\n\n Working Environment:Work is generally conducted in a shop environment; however, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. \nEmployee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas.
