Aligned around a shared purpose, our $3.9B company and 16,000 people work alongside our clients, here and abroad, to tackle their most complex challenges with integrity, respect, responsibility, and professionalism.\nAs a Bus Driver assigned to the Fort Bragg Pope Army Airfield, the 2nd shift Bus Driver (6pm-6am Saturday and Sunday) is responsible for safely transporting passengers and baggage to locations in and around the Fort Bragg area of operation.\nResponsibilities\nThis position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.\nMAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:\nComplies with all Department of Transportation (DOT), North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV), to include safety and licensing requirements.\nPerforms before/during/after, operator level operations and safety equipment checks/inspections.\nEnsures all safety equipment is on-hand and serviceable.\nDrives passengers and baggage in and around the Fort Bragg and Pope Army Airfield area of operations.\nAssist passengers with baggage.\nEnsures that passenger travel is safe and timely.\nWork flexible shifts including weekends and holidays; and works overtime as required.\nPerforms other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.\nJob duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nDrivers work mostly outside and operate vehicles in all kinds of weather in a controlled traffic environment.\nDrivers are exposed to dirt and fumes, and to the possibility of cuts, bruises, and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving or from falling objects when loading and unloading the vehicle.\nDemonstrates professionalism, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nPersonal Protection Equipment, such as Face mask (covering the nose and mouth), safety shoes (non - skid), vest and eye wear.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nMust be able to sit for long periods of time.\nMust be able to climb stairs and assist passengers with baggage.\nMust be able to work under timelines.\nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.\nQualifications\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nEDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nMust have a valid REAL ID State Commercial Driver’s License Class A or B with a Passenger endorsement with no restrictions.\nCurrent Medical Examiner’s certificate and/or medical variance documents (i.e. Vision, Skills Performance or Diabetic waivers, or other exemptions)\nMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check.\nMust be able to pass a pre-employment and DOT medical/drug screening.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust.\nMust be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.\nMust be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation and Fort Bragg POPE Army Airfield\nEXPERIENCE:\nOne (1) year of progressively responsible related experience, or any combination of education, training and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.\nOne (1) year working as a commercial driver.\nSKILLS:\nEffective organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.\nCustomer service experience preferred.\nAbility to speak clearly so listeners can understand.\nListen to others and ask questions.\nUnderstand written information.\nProblem solves - Notice when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.\nConcentrate and not be distracted while performing a task.\nAbility to follow guidelines both on post and off post.\nKnow one's location in a physical setting and recognize where other objects are located in relation to oneself.\nAbility to watch gauges, dials, and output to make sure a machine is working properly.\nRadio etiquette\nWorking within a team and independently.\nAt V2X, we are deeply committed to both equal employment opportunity, including protection for Veterans and individuals with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
