HVAC Mechanic (LOL)

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance and services on a variety of HVAC/R systems. Identifies problem areas, material and labor required to conduct the repair.
• Completes repairs in a timely manner.
• Uses a Computer Maintenance Management System (Maximo) to correctly capture data related to maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance inspections, and emergency/urgent customer requests.
• Uses a Tablet to track work orders, request material, add labor and material used against a work order.
• Operates, maintains, and repairs HVAC/R equipment.
• Inspects and determines method and material to repair HVAC/R systems.
• Works with chilled and heated water systems, package units, split systems, window units, and air delivery systems and their controls and components.
• Solders copper tubing performs minor electrical work and troubleshoots equipment.
• Reads and interprets work orders, parts requests, drawings/schematics/blueprints, and manuals needed to accomplish operation or and maintenance activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • All HVAC mechanics must hold a valid EPA 608 refrigeration handling certification.
  • Must be North American Technician Excellence (NATE II) certified.
• Experience
  • Minimum three (3) years' in the HVAC trade.
  • Minimum Three (3) years' HVAC repair and maintenance, trade school in refrigeration, heating and cooling.
• Skills
  • General knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the HVAC trade.
  • Must have excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
  • Able to read and interpret Work Orders, parts requests, drawings/schematics/blueprints and manuals in order to accomplish assigned duties.
  • Requires a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation, and teamwork.
